What year did stresseman die?

Trigger_003 06-14-2005 02:29 AM

Good to hear. That remixing will help with a lot in composition... I should really get into it too :).

Speaking of verbal questions, our Italian teacher was telling us about the external year 12 VCE Italian exam (man - what am I getting into?). It consists mainly of a 7 minute oral (in Italian on migration) and 3 tapes (all spoken in fast Italian) being played upon the basis of which we have to:
the 1st) write an essay (in Italian) on
2nd) write another essay (but this time in English) on
3rd) reply (in Italian) to questions asked (also in Italian) by the examiner.
Owch.

/Just listened to one of Colditz Glider's songs :thumb:.

gaslight 06-14-2005 02:29 AM

1929.

*Twitches*.

moaner 06-14-2005 02:58 AM

after some years of that guy, aes changes his avatar for a sad flower.

strange. Although you can see the slight resemblance between aes and his flower.

(on the right)

it's like double vision.

Aes820 06-14-2005 03:00 AM

He' not sad... He' ANGRY!

Chris lacks that sad (or "ANGRY!") look though.

he looks like he doesn't trust whoevers holding the camera.

Aes820 06-14-2005 03:17 AM

Uggh.
You can always tell when Chris has had a few drinks.
Whenever someone points a camera at him, he gets a big ol' sh!t eating grin on his face.

moaner 06-14-2005 03:29 AM

why are you talking in the third person?

Aes820 06-14-2005 03:31 AM

No reason.

Anybody familiar with the Schrodinger's Cat scenario?

moaner 06-14-2005 03:39 AM

i beleive so.

Is that the one where in order to measure something, you change it?

moaner 06-14-2005 03:41 AM

oh, its the oe where the cat is dead AND alive.

unfortunately, i don't know enough quantum physics to really grasp its importance.

Aes820 06-14-2005 03:52 AM

I've just recently rekindled my love for an old web comic which I used to get into alot.
And I was reminded of this particular strip:
http://www.angryflower.com/schrod.gif

It has put the concept behind Schrodinger's Cat into a means which I can more easily relate to (and doesn't involve animal cruelty).
The fridge contains both equal possibilites of beer, or no beer.
The only way to find out is to open the fridge and look for yourself.

So, wether the beer actually exists or not is only determined by a humans aknowledgement of if it is there or not.
So, without human perception, would anything exist?

moaner 06-14-2005 03:58 AM

If a man speaks in a forest and his wife isn't there to hear it, is he still wrong?

Aes820 06-14-2005 04:07 AM

We are so deep!

But, really, I'd give it a week or so 'till I'm bored of this Avatar and go for a new one.

moaner 06-14-2005 04:39 AM

hehe

i've had mine for aaaaaages, but i'm yet to see a better one.

gaslight 06-14-2005 04:56 AM

I change mine on a whim.

Trigger_003 06-14-2005 04:58 AM

I've had mine for ages too.

It was off the front of a birthday card I gave to a friend. Inside it said: For your birthday, I grew you a cat. It was so lame that it was funny.

Don't be a humanist... if a puma opens the fridge, finds the beer, and gets drunk as ****, we can't really say the beer didn't exist just because we humans didn't acknowledge it....

And this guy's reallllly deep :p.

Yeah, I saw you write in Italian a few pages back. Rock on.

What's on for today, people?
It's practically my last day of the semester for me so I'm able to take my guitar along to a few classes. Should be sweet.

Trigger_003 06-15-2005 02:42 AM

Heh, it was more like me sitting in a corner playing as quietly as I could as to not draw attention to myself. One chick actually requested some flamenco ( ) though, so I played some for her. She said she'd buy my cd if I ever made one .

gaslight 06-15-2005 02:48 AM

Aw :).

My Behringer V-Amp 2 is being a bastard and not working . Now I don't know how to record my ideas.

gaslight 06-15-2005 05:48 AM

The only noise it makes is a really strangle bubbly "wharppp..."

I think it's dead or something.

moaner 06-15-2005 06:01 AM

hmmmm.

can we hear this fantastic noise?

is it trhere when you unplug your guitar? when you activate tuner mode? when you put master volume on 0?

gaslight 06-15-2005 06:20 AM

It's there when I tried to record tonight.

I'll let it rest and try again some other day.

moaner 06-15-2005 06:23 AM
