They actually played a lot better when I saw 'em, a few months before Wacken.

And I don't really see the resemblance.

Though my fanboyism of the gorier DM bands rings loud and true frequently, I struggle to think of many more perfect albums than Altars of Madness, there's no bad track on there.

I wouldn't call it perfect, maybe superb, but not perfect.

yeah I'd give it about 90% as well, but I don't really see how it could be improved, least of all by some 14 year old mallrat. It's just a hair below the truly elite death metal masterpieces, hence 90.
