Should be in the top 5 of anyone's favourite hip hop albums imo.

Have started work on those recommendations with WTC's Enter the Wu-Tang.

Very cool stuff. The soul music samples are awesome, the structures are bizarrely entertaining (very casual), great storytelling as well. A nice change away from the artificial sounding stuff.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-12-2007 10:34 PM

if you like that then you should also check out GZA - Liquid Swords and Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...

Yeah check out Liquid Swords if you like 36 chambers. As for myself, I don't like Only Built 4 Cuban Linx that much, but alot of people do.

Also, check out some Native Tongue stuff, like Mos Def - Black on Both Sides, Black Star, A Tribe Called Quest and Common, those are all favorites of mine. Most are pretty accesible too.

I've always wanted to go to a Stones Throw show like this but I never can make it out when they come around.

Time 10-13-2007 04:42 PM

^^is that at Sonar or Black Cat? those are pretty cool venues. Madlib's pretty awesome, I'm not gonna go to that show though

ATM 10-13-2007 04:49 PM

It's at Black Cat. Venue is kind of crap, but I can't miss Stones Throw.

Time 10-13-2007 04:55 PM

yep that show should be pretty awesome, can't say I've ever been to a hip hop concert though. Wu Tang's coming to Sonar, but it's with Three6 Mafia and Paul Wall so there's no way Im going.

ATM 10-13-2007 05:03 PM

Yea, I saw that they were coming to Baltimore. I'm without a car these days, though. I did see Wu Tang this summer and Ghostface last week :)

I want to go to that Rakim, Ghostface, and Brother Ali show at 930 club.

Only women and Canadians like Butch Walker.

badtaste 10-13-2007 08:43 PM
also butch walker
I'm working on two fronts right now: punk and rap/hiphop.

Butch Walker (born Bradley Glenn Walker III on November 14, 1969) is an American recording artist, songwriter, and record producer.

Why would you not go see Wu and Three Six?

I would kill for awesome acts like that to come to Australia. But it will never happen :(
