I just bought My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything for $9.99 CDN at HMV. Pretty good deal, if I do say so myself.

I like Loveless, I hope this albums good as well.

its grows on you in that its really different from Loveless, you can understand the vocals and its not as much of a living creature and seamless as Loveless.

NineBitFable 01-23-2005 05:13 PM

It actually didnt take any time at all for it to grow on me... Some of the tracks on it are just as good or better than anything loveless had to offer.

I've been playing the crazy PS2 game Katamari Damacy, and I've been diggin' its crazy soundtrack.

Those crazy Japanese are crazy.

Little Man being Erased 01-23-2005 08:20 PM

Mainly Bright Eyes the last few days.

You're not alone;) Best j-pop/rock/weird soundtrack ever. You gobbled up the rainbow yet?

Iris 01-23-2005 08:48 PM

I've been diggind the following:
Radiohead
Jeff Buckley
Damien Rice
Bright Eyes
Cursive

Tapeworm 01-23-2005 09:01 PM

That's a well crafted list there.

Except for Radiohead.

Zappa 01-23-2005 09:38 PM

Slowdive were a great band, I think.
Except for Radiohead.
You will burn in hell for that

br3ad_man 01-24-2005 01:44 AM

I still think Radiohead are an excellent band, but I haven't listened to them for months and I don't plan to for a good while longer. Probably until they do another album actually.

Tangy zizzle 01-24-2005 01:46 AM

Cake made such a brilliant album in Fashion Nugget, that album is COOL forged on plastic.

TosenDAndys 01-24-2005 02:57 AM

For now im spinning eisley's room noises and white stripes' seven nation army

br3ad_man 01-24-2005 04:27 AM

Interstate 01-24-2005 09:29 AM

pixiesfanyo 01-24-2005 10:06 AM

I've been listening to A Tribe Called Quest and Converge as of late.

Also Elliott Smith's Either/Or is a great album to lay around and contemplate too.

ohmygodyouaresogone 01-24-2005 11:19 AM

Primal Scream - Evil Heat.

Right now... The Lord Is My Shotgun.

asymm 01-24-2005 02:33 PM

Stars of the Lid - The Ballasted Orchestra
and
M83 - Before The Dawn Heals Us
You mean Rachel's the post-rock band? Or is it another band...
Rachel's the post-rock band. Most of their songs I got from soulseek had the "The" at the beginning, but i didn't know if the "the" was supposed to be at the beginning or not?

post-rock <3

el doctor 01-24-2005 04:39 PM

I've always just known then simply as Rachel's, although it's not important. The combination of post rock and classical really make the band incredible, in my opinion.

NineBitFable 01-24-2005 05:11 PM

Radiohead- The Bends

I have a problem though... I dl'ed the bends cd from MSN, annnddd my version of Sulk stops randomly in the song.. is that part of the song or a bad download?
(Sorry if this sounds really stupid :) )

Bartender 01-24-2005 05:22 PM

I'm currently enjoying the Aeon Spoke demo which I got through the mail recently and which is surprisingly good, even to a Cynic splinter fanboy such as myself.

Luxor 01-24-2005 05:23 PM

I am now listening to "The Lonesome Crowded West" by Modest Mouse, it's good.

Ornery Cephalopod 01-24-2005 11:37 PM
You're not alone;) Best j-pop/rock/weird soundtrack ever. You gobbled up the rainbow yet?
Indeed. I conquered that sonuvagun.

Now I can't stop playing to get the eternals and presents and comets and just big balls in general and such.

I like to turn the tv up and play songs from the moon memorial when I'm cooking or doing whatever around the "pad" or "crib" or whatever the kids are calling it these days..

Tangy zizzle 01-24-2005 11:59 PM

Albums played today (and/or dug simultaneously):

Kills - Keep on your mean side
Nick Cave & Bad Seeds - Abbatoir Blues
Charles Mingus - Mingus Dynasty

br3ad_man 01-25-2005 12:12 AM

I've been pumping some hip-hop, mainly The Streets and Blackalicious.

Little Man being Erased 01-25-2005 12:27 AM

Yeah, I've been listening to The Streets a bit recently too. Has anyone else seen the clip for Blinded by the Lights? It just got released here and I think it is bloody cool.

Bandaid 01-25-2005 12:29 AM

Mclusky - Do Dallas
Primus - Antipop
Mark Lanegan - Bubblegum
