Completely magnificent effort by each member which was not displayed almost whatsoever in their subsequent albums. |

While retaining minimal amounts of experimentation, this otherwise straight up alternative rock record displays their phenomenal songwriting abilities and great musicianship without being overbearing in the slightest. |

| Before I heard this album, I just thought Incubus was one of your typical mainstream rock bands who never really offered anything to music. The progressive, experimental rock songs rampant throughout are wonderfully contrasted by the jazzy, more mellow songs. Incubus would never be heard the same way again, even if their new direction has provided equally astounding music. |
