5.0 classic | c0nf1n3d | June 11th 24 | "Heaven :x: Hell" is Sum 41's best record. Are there some songs that are better than others? Of course. Are there some songs that might not be as refined as some of their previous songs? Naturally. What we have here are 20 songs that serve as a celebration of everything the band's accomplished. Looking for something from "All Killer No Filler"? Check out 'Not Quite Myself'. How about something from "Order in Decline"? 'This Means War' will do the trick. Hell...even something from "Underclass Hero" is in there with 'Johnny Libertine'. What once used to be a band whose material constantly felt like a tug-of-war genre struggle of what to decide to settle on has instead become embraced in this lengthy, impressive album. It's a rarity where you genuinely feel the effort that went behind its engineering, and a bittersweet feeling knowing that this is their last record.......at least for a while. I personally have a hunch that they'll announce some 'reunion tour' in about 10 or so years. Here's hoping.

4.0 excellent | chedspiffman | April 24th 24 | mgk ruined pop punk for me. i'd like to thank sum 41 for making me not hate it again. beginning of heaven is weak, but gets better as it progresses and hell is great throughout.

3.3 great | Erwann S. STAFF | April 9th 24 | Heaven :x: Hell comes 17 years too late and is still isn't exempt of stylistic mistakes - no Sum 41 record is tbf - but it's nevertheless refreshing to hear these guys put up one solid final record.

3.5 great | Mutantsnowstorm | March 30th 24 | A really solid final outing by these guys, sad to
see them go. Production is super glossy and
polished which might annoy some people but I'll
almost always prefer overproduced as opposed to
underproduced...I will say, The Hell side blows
the Heaven side out of the water. Also doesn't
help that multiple songs on the Heaven side use
the exact same chord progression for their
choruses

4.0 excellent | Fearlessflyer1986 | March 26th 24 | Heaven & Hell has everything a Sum 41 fan
would want. Nostalgia filled with Heaven, and
aggressive hooks, with catchy choruses in
Hell. Will keep fans satisfied with this being
their last effort.
You Wanted War friggin'
slays.
