ARTMS <Dall>
I can see where an album like this is getting by such hype. For a debut album, the K-pop and electronic outfit really display a lot of energetic and exciting things. Especially on the closing track ?Birth?. But this album is too much of a spread of interesting ideas that don?t come together well. The album is definitely fancy and nice when it?s on, but I kind of forget what I just listened to by the end.

Graywave Dancing in the Dust
The newest EP from UK based shoegaze outfit sees them continue their direction into the metal space. The band kicks themselves into the trending rebrand of the alternative metal scene and they do it quite well. The biggest issues here is that it has a hard time standing out from the modern heavy hitters and from the classics in this style. Still with it being an EP there is a lot of energy and fun to be had here.

Bat For Lashes The Dream of Delphi
It might not be the most revolutionary album when it comes to art pop, but there are a lot of atmospheric and nearly haunting aesthetics at play here that are definitely interesting. My biggest problem is the ideas never feel all that flushed out on top of the fact the album is incredible short in the grand scheme of things.

Thou Umbilical
Every so often I accidentally listen to and review an album I really have no qualifications to review. The newest album from legendary sludge metal album Thou sees the band go back to their origins and for my money I don?t get much out of listening to this. If you?re a heavy fan of doomy sludge metal then you will love this. Heavy riffs with harrowing vocals paired with these in your face drums. But for me I have been a bigger fan of their drone metal output.

Tanerelle Electric Honey
Fun and dynamic RnB project that dips into various shades of electronic and trap music throughout. ?Electric Honey? won?t blow you away by any means, but it definitely has a lot of fun and exciting styles and sound at play. Definitely give it a go.

Arooj Aftab Night Reign
I have always been on the dense with Arooj?s music. There has been flourishes of greatness of her past few releases, but the construction of the albums have never come together that well. With that said her newest album she presents here feels the most flushed out. From the absolutely gorgeous use of minimal chamber bass orchestration to the heartfelt vocals laced over them. Everything feels and sounds perfectly emotional and real.

The Marias Submarine
The sophomore record from the Maria Zardoya led band not only continues to show their ability of making outstanding bedroom pop, but somehow outshines their debut album by miles. ?Submarine? is laced with these hazy and dreamy indie rock ballads reminiscent of Men I Trust. The band definitely wanted to make the album sound as fluid and dynamic as the album cover suggests.
