Woah
| |
hell yeah months of a tool-free europe, incredibly hyped for that
| |
I know the syrup fits
| |
I love paying hundreds of dollars for a half assed light show and horribly off key vocals
| |
what a strange tour location-wise
| |
are they really not worth seeing live?
| |
im sure many tool fans will tell you otherwise but I've seen them live on tour and I was wildly unimpressed. Thankfully the tickets I snagged then were like 80. Last time Tool came around with Killing Joke I really just wanted to see KJ, but not for 300+ dollars..
| |
$300... well that's a hard pass lol
I like seeing small shows with crowds of 50 people for $20
| |
"are they really not worth seeing live?"
yep. saw them like 5 or so years ago and it was pretty underwhelming. kinda like a going through the motions sort of deal
| |
Seen them twice, twas fantastic, you should chance it.
| |
Its like the midwest doesnt exist or something
| |
10-31 Saint Paul, MN - Xcel Energy Center
11-01 Milwaukee, WI - Fiserv Forum
@neeka ????
| |
no SF or NYC but two idaho shows is more interesting to me lmao
| |
all the DMT in ny and la is government mandated now fuckin' liberals
| |
Maynard is about 20 years past his prime, but they're still kinda great live
| |
"no SF or NYC but two idaho shows is more interesting to me lmao"
yeah i find that really interesting too... like maybe the band doesn't perform well enough in those areas ticket-wise to make the travel/giant stage show they do profitable (or profitable enough)??
would figure a band like tool would never have that problem but a band this big certainly has management behind the scenes crunching numbers for them.
| |
apropos nothing, here's a tool concert from 1992

it's ridiculous how great these guys were live right out of the gate.
| |
how exciting
| |
Saw them only once at a festival in 2019. It was honestly kinda good, but don't expect too much from the vocals at this point, most songs were tuned down to accomodate the Maynard. They probably won't perform any heavy songs for the same reason. The rhythm section didn't disappoint the little fanboy in me though (surprising lack of the f word though, maybe Carey was sober this time).

| |
Lmao Kelowna
| |
You can’t deny it has a nice beach
| |
bro have u ever tried DMT
| |
Ohio doesnt need their bullshit should be great for everyone
| |
Saw them 5 times. Think I'm done for my lifetime. Each show isn't very different, but I've never been disappointed. Always a great experience.
| |
Faded is a TOOL Super fan? That explains literally everything.
| |
@denboy yeah 90s Tool was a different entity entirely, wish I was old enough to have seen them on the Aenima tour
| |
"Faded is..."
Was. No shame saying I was hugely into them when I was in high school.
| |
the only tool fans that should be ashamed are the ones lying to themselves and saying FI was a good album
| |
hate how my city gets every tour i dont wanna see
| |
tool is a business not a band
| |
“what a strange tour location-wise” [2]
| |
"tool is a business not a band"
FI sounds like it too
| |
tool
| |
Will be skipping due to tix probably being 250$+
| |
is this an incel exclusive event?
| |
Of fucking course they skip Ohio. Oh well, I would have never had the money for it anyway.
| |
Ehhh, never had much interest in Tool, but i can’t imagine the vocals being all that interesting live. Maynard just doesn’t seem like that motivated of a singer to me, though i could be wrong for sure.
And the Wells Fargo Center in Philly? Hell nah. I was never gonna go either way, but hell nah
| |
Saw them in 2019 after snagging a free ticket. Was ok. They are pretty boring though tbh and Maynard obviously sounds average live these days. They did play Tempest for the first time and there was a huge storm after the show though, which was pretty cool.
| |
When I saw them Maynard literally stood in the back facing away from the crowd. It was... off-putting.
| |
Maynard is so far up his own ass lol
| |
thats like every tool show since lateralus i think. He stays in the back and out of the light, I read once he claimed it was because of his epilepsy but I'm pretty sure he performs like a normal frontman with his other bands
| |
telling the entire south to fuck off aside from the one tennessee date is kinda based lmao

telling the entire south to fuck off aside from the one tennessee date is kinda based lmao [2]
| |
Oh cool. There is a Colorado date. Band is feeling stale.
| |
stool
| |
took my mom to see these mofos in 2016, had a good time. would only see em again for like $20 though
| |
Seen em twice and they murder. Not sure about currently.
10k days is underrated
| |
Heck yeah sonic. I remember my mom called me up the first time vicarious came on the radio back in 2007 or whatever. She was like baby, you need to listen to this. Cool mom.
| |
i wish they'd do like 2-3 night runs at select amphitheaters instead of those lame ass hockey arenas
actually i wish all arena bands would do that
| |
Fucker was on Joe Rogan. Dudes aren't playing anything but mid arena tours until they die
| |
damn i wish i was an incel
| |
You're not fooling anybody.
