I'm pretty down for this song, the poppy edge is growing on me and I usually hate that shit. I think its cause TDWP doesn't pull punches on the heavy as evident with ZII. Maybe I'm biased though, love this band.

Yeah I 100% will not like this album based on the two singles. They're not bad but they don't do anything particularly exciting. I haven't gotten into anything TDWP has done since the Zombie EP.

There is actually four singles already out (Sacrifice, Watchtower, Salt and Time). It's shaping up to be an interesting album, curious to see how it turns out.

Damn, I only knew about Salt and Time. I'm hating this trend of bands releasing 4 or 5 singles before their albums drop. I know times are different with streaming and all but it kills a lot of the hype for an album release when you've already heard half of it prior to the release.

I absolutely hate when Mike does that half assed talking shit instead of screaming his lungs out, and Jeremy just sucks now, dude is monotonous as hell and sounds bored out of his mind. Wack song overall

Hell yeah. Three for four on the singles. Probably an awesome album. I’m so glad they became such a great band after getting popular with really bad albums.

Damn, I was gonna put this article up with "it's time for new tdwp" cuz its the only fun thing I got from this. Oh well.

Probably not just the worst single they've had but one of the most mundane songs they've written period. Even The Act was better.

"I miss when metalcore was derivative of metal and not Now That's What I Call Music 1000"

there is still some great metalcore out there but sadly these days it's way more few and far between. These guys are definitely the more generic part of the bunch. Jesus, this song was awful by the way.

^ I'm pretty sure the genre has reached it's compositional boundaries by now. Truth is 95% of groove and melodies in the genre have been done to death. For a genre like this that needs to bond with the audience on a very personal, genuine level, most of it sounds way too formulaic and low information packed. That's why i tend to linger on the more hardcore side of things, coz atleast there's some experimenting with different tones and timbre.

Too much chorus. Literally intro chorus, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, breakdown, outro chorus with very little variation in between. "It's a no from me."

I'm convinced that anyone shitting on this song are just edgelord "metalheads" who only care if a song is br00tal. It's fine to not like the poppier sound or mike and jeremy's voice, but if you think this song is bad/generic, you're insane. No other metalcore band is doing it like TDPW right now.

i don't get why people loved Zombie EP II, it literally felt like nothing was unique on it. Zombie 1 was all that had to be said.

Roots, Plagues, Zombie 1 are top tier for me personally.
