Man, these guys don't have any bite in them left at all, do they?

The only interesting part of this song was the interlude and some of Jeremy's vocals in the verses. The chorus is absolute shit-rock status, throw it in the trash.

3 for 3 so far for bad songs off this new thing. Is Survived By was their peak.

Agreed. New album is shaping up to be their worst.

I don't mind them trying to do something a little more melodic and less aggressive, but that means you better have some strong hooks, and this song does _not_

"I don't mind them trying to do something a little more melodic and less aggressive, but that means you better have some strong hooks"

no, it certainly doesn't mean you have to have that, I wonder how many more times you'll post this same weak argument

This is shaping up to be their Rooms of the House.

(Which, from my perspective, is high praise, but also easily many others' damning indictment.)

Lament was amazing, this kinda just exists [2]

My sentiments exactly. Sounds like a really throwaway track and I hope that it's the weakest on the new album.

I realised I put Lament instead of Limelight and have been in work all day triggered at myself but unable to change it till I got home

Huge fan of these guys, but these newer songs just aren't doing it for me. Can't really put my finger on why either. I guess it's just missing some of the energy and passion that I'd come to expect from them.

I love this band and I'm sure I'm going to love this album. I'm not a fan of Ross Robinson production usually though

This feels like people reacting to how the band iceage changed their sound up.

I mean stage 4 was definitely the climax to their career as a band. The only way to top it is to do something different but just as good. Granted this might not be the album to do it.

I LOVE Touché. With that said, man... I cannot get into this song. Twilight was solid but this track to go along with Deflector is not boding well for this album. I can appreciate the changes in their sound but I haven’t been a huge for the three tracks so far.

Limelight** god dammit. But yeah... I thunk even that song was made exponentially better by Andy’s part.

You guys are fucking crazy. This is a not great but still SOLID song, and Limelight is fucking incredible. I think it’s gonna be a great album...maybe not as good as Stage 4, but I have a feeling that’s their masterpiece and they’ll never top it.

if Stage Four was a 5 or a high 4.5 for yall, then this gonna be like a solid 4 light 4.5. mostly because i feel like you guys forget how their singles are ALWAYS received as weird and generally mixed by fans until the full album is released, and then people get to hear the singles in context to the whole project. like i remember soooo many people hating on "Palm Dreams" and "Displacement" but once Stage Four dropped in it's entirety, *poof* everyone loved those tracks when it came to the full album (even if they werent some peoples' favorites)

Palm Dreams is absolutely one of my favorites of Stage Four -- I think I just have a personal parallel to it though. Looking forward to this regardless
