This record was going to see the light of day, and his estate has very carefully curated and finished his nearly-completed work. The single was definitely not cobbled together and is one of his longer tracks at five minutes, but it feels like it needed every second of it.

If the rest of the tracks are on the same level I think it's fair to estimate that his close personal friend Thundercat isn't lying to us.

Obviously I don't know exactly what happened, but I think it's more than fair to say it could have been all done during the Swimming sessions. As far as waiting a year and a half, it could be something as simple as the family not being ready. That's really anyone's guess.
