Ah that's kinda lame. Was hoping for new songs this year. Acoustic Suburbia & Greatest Generation songs should be cool at least

I remember Soupy saying he had really bad writer's block while writing No Closer to Heaven, and since that album is not nearly as good as TGG/Suburbia I'm ok with them taking some time

@dino and Jay agreed, it would be better to have new music
@Project I'm pretty sure he said he came out of writers block and then wrote that album, but who knows. No Closer was not as good as TGG, but it was very close.
@bloc agreed, its pretty unnecessary

Kinda hate re-imaginings, period. If you want to release some acoustic songs that's obviously fine, just kinda feels like a cop out when you restyle your own songs in a slower and more melancholy way. At the very least stuff like this is usually boring, unimaginative and bland, at the worst they're just a bit of a cash grab. One thing for sure is that 're-imaginings' are never the supremely creative or artistic endeavours that the title would suggest.

I'd like some new shit too but it seems like Soupy gets writer's block often and takes time to write these bangers. I'd hate for them to ruin their hot streak of albums just to push something new out.

Honestly, I'm sure this release will be great, new album should be on its way soon after I'm sure.

There, There is an extremely uneventful choice. That song is one of my favorites but the acoustic version doesn't really change it much.
