RIP so hard to one of the most influential extreme acts in the history of music :/
This is gonna jam hard, single rules but damn dat track list is odd.
Ben is such a dude, that interview is great.
| |
finally
| |
Still have yet to click with them. RIP tho, they won't be replaced.
| |
yeah the tracklist and artwork seems strange but I have no doubts that the album is going to remove faces
| |
album title makes a lot of sense now
| |
that's what everyone said about Ire Works and that sucked
| |
RIP Dillinger, you will not be forgotten
| |
Holy sh**, had no idea the band was planning to break up. Will probably end their career on a high note
| |
With how intense they are live, they are a band that are calling it quits at the right time, they can't play their discography in their 50's 60's.
| |
aww this sucks.
| |
fuck! Stoked for the new record but gutted they're calling it a day.
| |
I'm not surprised, and glad they're going out on a good note, but also fucking hell, R.I.P. to one of the best.
This last tour's going to go so hard
| |
Six LPs is a great run, RIP. Gotta try this band eventually.
| |
RIP. Will have to see them when they come to UK
| |
Won't cry because it's over, I'll smile because it happened.
RIP DEP, can't wait to hear this song live.
| |
"We're all pirates, man. We just go through cities and rape and pillage every club and that's what we love about this."
| |
I'm hoping this is gonna be extra pissed off with this being their final record and all.
There's some sweet Irony is a Dead Scene vibes in this track, especially towards the end.
| |
Bummed about this. Saw em' in Stockholm roughly three years ago and it was in-fucking-sane. I have high hopes for this album.
| |
damn so much for them potentially doing another project with mike patton........
| |
Well this is awesome and sad news all at the same time...a very unique band that will not be replicated.
| |
Let's hope the album will be truly memorable. I've never got the chance to see them live.
| |
This makes me super sad :[
Please let the final album be a fitting send off.
| |
Seen them 4 times mite see them if they run through my town, maybe a trip out of town depending on whose opening. R.I.P DEP.
| |
Damn this sucks, hope they go all out in this last one.
| |
It's good that I've delayed listening to 'Irony is a dead scene' and 'Happiness is just a smile' till the new record comes out. Thus I'll have 15 tracks that are new for me to jam. This will help me to survive the loss of a band. Hope they won't 'break up' the way Scorpions or Running Wild did.
| |
gonna be a pop punk album with an acoustic closer 'let it go' cover confirmed
| |
As long as the new album delivers, I'm cool with this.
| |
I understand...
| |
But I'll never get to see them, and they were one of my must see bands.
| |
Sad news, love this band. Look forward to jamming this
| |
Song is better than anything off the last album imo. Sad to see them go but hopefully this album rips. Artwork is cool.
| |
RIP. new track is better than pretty much anything off of one of us is the killer imo, so I'm stoked
| |
rip to the band that completely transformed what i thought live music could be. this fucking sucks.
| |
"Low Feels Blvd" is where I'm at right now. The new album makes this news bittersweet, but I guess all great things must come to an end. Dillinger will always be my favorite band.
| |
farewell mona lisa made my friend who hated metal, etc. realize how awesome it can be
| |
that's a pretty low bar then
| |
fuck man
| |
Incredibly sad news. New song is amazing, tho.
| |
Makes sense. It's not even sad. It just makes sense. The last few albums have lost their luster to me. TDEP didn't get bad, but just aren't what they used to be. For me. I know most people loved them. And better to go out with a bang with their wits about them and no quarrels or deaths or sad fade-aways. Excited to see what they do after!
| |
A shame, oh it's true it's true
| |
Fuck, man. The scene is never gonna be able to replace these guys. Still, respect to them for putting out consistently great material and sticking their guns for twenty years. Happy to see that they'll be going out on top rather than allowing themselves to become a "legacy act" and milking their brand for as long as possible.
| |
ehh i feel like they were coming to a natural end anyway, still sad to see them go but it's time for them to move on
| |
Fuck man, RIP hard. So glad I'm getting to see them at Riot Fest. Truly a band like no other. I totally understand his logic and I agree. They aren't a band to fade, they explode, into the scene and off of it. Have no doubt this last album will rip just as hard as anything they've put out before. Glad they're not pushing themselves into eventual shit. A band like this can only keep this stuff up for so long. They know their creative limits and that's awesome.
| |
watched them do prancer live on youtube. So tight i almost couldnt believe it. RIP a really unique and trend setting band
| |
thank god
| |
Damn, one of my all time favorites, but I certainly understand the decision.
| |
| |
thank god [2]
| |
Did these guys piss in your cornflakes or something ^^^
| |
They had a fucking great run, go out strong and I'll see them in 4 years for a reunion tour.
| |
I'm gonna miss these guys
| |
fucking fuck, this is sad. at least they're going out with a bang
| |
"Wanting Not So Much to as To"
fkin wot
also sad as fuck but doubtless they'll leave on a high
| |
i feel old now
| |
"new track is better than pretty much anything off of one of us is the killer imo,"
OOUITK was a fantastic album, on the level of fuckin Option Paralysis.
| |
whoa crazy news. ive been listening to these guys a lot recently. sad this is gonna be the end
| |
I've gotta see them live before they call it quits.
| |
In before the Reunion Tour$.
| |
RIP to one of the best bands in the genre. Hope this album really goes out on a bang then
| |
Fuck this. Been one of my favourite bands these last years. New song sounds like Miss Machine-era. No way I'm gonna miss them when they come here.
| |
Saw them at least 12-13 years ago with Poison the Well in Fort Lauderdale. The most violent 30 minutes I've ever encountered. Hopefully get to see them one more time.
| |
That sounds fucking awesome
| |
this band revolutionized my brain. needless to say, R.I.P. - album shall be truly m/, like the last one but better
| |
If it's good then I'm good
| |
Jammed Miss Machine like a motherfucker many moons ago. R.I.P. af
| |
I suppose this would be a good time to go back through their stuff. Only have Paralysis and it was hit-or-miss for me.
| |
could never get into these guys no matter how hard i tried. Ion Dissonance just does it so much better
RIP though I know they're well loved and very influential m/
| |
fuck, what a shame....
| |
This band is the reason I began my journey into heavy metal music. It has been a joy and the band will be sorely missed.
| |
Oh for fuck sake, such bad news. I knew that in time this might happen considering that they wouldn't be able to keep up with the intensity that they are associated with forever, but this still hits unexpected and hard.
Hope they go out with an absolute bang.
| |
Are they releasing more tour dates? I'd really wanna catch them live, but they aren't touring anywhere near :/
| |
RIP to these dudes. Wasn't the biggest fan but I got a few cuts of theirs in my library. Listening to Milk Lizard right now actually.
| |
Its never been the same since Greg joined, but RIP nonetheless.
| |
This album better be fucking incredible. Already sounds amazing so far.
| |
Well good thing we get a last album before it ends. Give them a lot of respect to end it on a high note.
| |
They shoulda called it quits after Calculating. They never again reached the bar they set with that album.
| |
No.
| |
Well, I know who I'm going to see live.
| |
This is well timed but still complete ass to hear.
| |
I saw them a few years back. It was a Sunday night in a smaller market. They sold about 150 tickets in a venue that holds nearly 2000, and they put on one of the most incredible shows I've ever seen in spite of the turnout. I gained a lot of respect for them that night. I've seen my fair share of bands phone it in because of similar circumstances.
To those who haven't seen them, I'll just say this. Weinman plays with album precision while running around the stage like a lunatic--jumping off stacks and shit. It's really quite awesome to witness.
| |
Bummed I missed them last night with The Number 12 in NYC.
| |
damn that would be a surreal show to see. both of those are amazing live bands.
| |
Need to fucking see them now, I have a feeling this won't actually be the end though.
| |
I bought Calculating Infinity when I was 15
| |
And they actually will have a concert at my city in February. Fuck yes!
| |
Still have yet to click with them. RIP tho, they won't be replaced.[2]
