Moonsorrow Release Music Video

2016-03-21 by Dizchu | 21 Comments

Moonsorrow's first official music video in their history was released in anticipation of their seventh full-length album "Jumalten Aika", which will release through Century Media on April 1st.

The song Suden Tunti (which translates from Finnish to "Wolf's Hour") is one of the shortest they've released since Kivenkantaja in 2003, clocking in at seven minutes.

Song reminds me a lot of Karhunkynsi, interested to hear how the rest of the album compares.

I forgive them for the video. The song is hopefully not an indicator for the quality of the whole album, at least the 2nd teaser was much more powerful.

supposedly they said on facebok that the rest of the album is really different than this one song.

what a strange song, it's like a missing link between suden uni and voimasta ja kunniasta but with wayyy different production

not sure i'm feeling it but it might work in the context of the album, the other samples were far more promising

decent song but it was kinda bland, hoping the rest of the record is better

yeah didn't mind it like others have said, but definitely didn't move me at all

If it weren't for the fact that the song is half as long as their usual output, I'd be very surprised they chose this song to represent their new album.

I think I'm more concerned with their being two cover tracks on the album, back-to-back. Don't get why they're not bonus tracks even if they are done in the band's own style.

I fucking LOVE Moonsorrow and I'm pretty sure it's for that reason that I kinda don't want to watch this...

it honestly sounds like a b side for voimasta ja kunniasta, not bad or anything just a bit... odd

the production couldn't be further away from the last moonsorrow album either - reverby, cavernous and distant

@DarkNoctus

Apparently this is the most stripped-down song on the album and the others are more in line with the previous album. Though until I hear the full thing I can't confirm if that's true or not.

Very happy with this song. Has nearly everything that I love about them.

Moonsorrow has gotten pretty popular, they probably wanted to do something a little more accessible for a change, hence the simpler, shorter track. It might end up fitting in really well on the album.
