I like animated videos a lot when it's a choice that fits the song's imagery or the band's overall sound. Steven Wilson's Drive Home and Raven videos, in that sense, were brilliant. This obviously has been strongly inspired by those videos, yet it's quite pale in comparison, and is perhaps as far as you could get from the band's identity and the images generated in my mind while listening to their music. But that's really a personal complaint, it varies from person to person I guess.
Besides, after months of uncertain feelings toward Magnolia, I'm finally appreciating it progressively more - perhaps not as a whole, but it undeniably contains many great songs. Yet this one was barely a decent song among the least outstanding in my opinion.
Anyways, maybe my criticism is a bit too harsh; animated videos represent a great and refreshing alternative, and it's great to see the trend rising.

I totally agree with Onirium, I feel sorry for this band because these kind of videos are probably stopping them from getting further.
The animation doesn't work with the music and this song is not half as good as some of the other tracks on the Album.
I've watched most of their old videos and there isn't one that gets it right.
Sorry to be harsh, I love this band but maybe they just have bad taste in music videos?
Nice to see another animated video though, shame it doesn't work.
