Actually thought it was decent.. or on par with their first album.

That because it's exactly the same as the first album

It's not bad, but man is this is just a retread of the first album. Johnny has a good voice, but man, he needs some different melodies.

Man I even reviewed their debut at the time and liked it, but if they continue churning out the same sound I have very little interest in listening, because even the debut had no staying power.

"Johnny has a good voice"

Wut. He sounds like every other phxc high pitched "crooning" vocalist.

youre a fucking tone deaf idiot if you think jonny craig sounds anything like the typical modern post hardcore vocalist

go listen to thirty seconds of any song by sleeping with sirens or a skylit drive and then tell me thats what this is

Wut? Track is amazing. Heard half a song and it already clicks. Crazily catchy and endued with nice instrumentals, too. The drums sound overproduced as shit, that is true, but this does not mean that the record wont slay. Because the last one did folks. Just listen to 'Starving for friends' and tell me that it's not a great modern day post-hardcore song. It also has some lyrical content for once and finally shows atonement in a sense.
