Another great song, though it'll probably work better with the album as a whole. This is 35-40% of the album now, this thing really needs to stream already.

Pretty boring. Just a first impression though.
|
| |
also this is cool

this is my favorite song they've released off this album so far
|

sounds like a fitting closer track

This is one of my least favorite trends in modern music. This is 1/3 of the album now released 2 weeks before it drops. MM is now just part of the rule than the exception. Almost every release has at least 3 released singles before we even hear the album. It totally breaks the cohesiveness of experiencing the entire album, especially the first month or so when I really am digging on something new. MM is one of my favorites, so I haven't listened to any singles since lampshades, seeing as I had heard the song a bunch before, just so the album will still be new to me when it's released.
|
| |
I haven't listened to anything off of this album for that reason.
I'll treasure my patience and hear this release as a cohesive piece.
|
| |
its been 8 years man i'm glad they released some songs
|
| |
Yeah, why cry that one of your favorite bands is releasing new music for you?
If you want to hear the album as a whole, you'll have that chance infinitely when it comes out. This isn't a trend, this has been going on forever.
Hearing a few songs from the album isn't going to ruin the cohesiveness of anything, man. The album is still going to be a new experience when you get to finally hear it front to back. I actually enjoy getting to see how the tracks I've already heard are fitting in to the track list- that's an experience I wouldn't get if the band was just silent until the release.
Not only that, but it is intended for marketing purposes to hype up the album and get people excited and high in anticipation; you even get that if you just see the article and don't listen to the new tracks, so it works.

only on sputnik do people bitch about bands giving us new music to listen to before release date.
Ninja edit.
|
| |
You should never end a sentence with 'to'.
|
| |
If you don't like it just don't listen to the songs lol
|
| |
And that's what I'm doing. I shared his sentiments though, so I agreed with him. Nothing to torque your nads over.
|
| |
Yeah it hasn't really been going on forever, maybe forever in your lifetime, but I'm old enough to know that this hasn't been going on for forever. I do understand it though, the music would probably get leaked somehow anyways, so why not just leak some of it yourself.
|
| |
Just release the damn album
|
| |
Just gonna wait for the whole thing.
|

Singles have been around for the 27 years I've been around, pops.
