McBusted stream new album

2014-12-05 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 24 Comments
British pop rock supergroup McBusted, the amalgm of groups McFly and Busted (sans Charlie Simpson) who both enjoyed great success during the 00s, are streaming their self-titled debut album on YouTube and Spotify now. The album was released in the UK on December 1.

Although originally started as a mere touring project, which Simpson declined to participate in on account of his second solo album's imminent release as well as his Fightstar commitments, the band turned into a studio project too in mid-2014.

Stream the album via the group's VEVO channel on YouTube:

Charlie was right to stay away, that's my only comment on it.

These guys are like 29-30 years old making music for 12 year olds. I guess kids buy music, because this is terrible and I used to like Busted (when Charlie was with them). So glad he doing Fightstar next year!

Well...Mark Hoppus wrote a song on the album so...that's something to be excited about right?...right? Yeah didn't think so

Lol I loved McFly when I was like 8 now I find it so hard to listen to them. One of my friends keeps going on about these guys and then goes on to say 5 Seconds Of Summer are shit. I don't hear a fucking difference

Yeah Charlie was definitely right to stay away. Probably could've considered it if it was a guaranteed one-off but he probably new the likelihood of new material (and that material sucking) and though better of it. Fightstar rules more anyway.

BTW someone should review this. I would but I have that long awaited Cardiacs - Sing to God review to do this weekend.

Oh and my sister used to love both these bands and currently loves 5 Seconds of Summer but hates McBusted cos she thinks it's weird that a bunch of 30 somethings are trying to make music to appeal to young children and they should've quit while they were ahead in the mid-00s.

I have a lot of respect for Mr Simpson in that aspect. He'd have made more money with Busted and then with McBusted, but decided to go with what we wanted more. Granted they probably did better than otherwise if it wasn't for Busted but I like to think they'd have done alright in their own right.

TBH Charlie doesn't need the money

I wouldn't say Charlie's other projects are thriving though.

Even when he was with Busted, he was frustrated with the limitations set on them because of marketing and such. Glad that he was at least willing to do his own thing

Used to like Busted and Mcfly. I respect Charlie for not taking part.

Nah sounds like some shitty cop comedy movie where two guys have to work undercover at McDonalds to try and catch some guys trying to deliver drugs/money in a Happy Meal
