I don't care what you believe or how you worship whatever pharse you choose to waste your time on but STATE and CHURCH need to be kept very very far away from eachother. 12.03.11 | there are probably way less than 80 million evangelical christians in the us (I think the number would be closer to half of that but i could be wrong) they just wield a lot of political influence. but yh i mostly agree w. you. soldiers proselytizing is causing a lot of strife right now in the military.
In the book "C Street" there's a chapter about fundies infiltrating the military and putting the conversion of fellow troops ahead of their proper military duties.
It hurts that a lot of these guys are higher ups who can get away with that kinna shit. |

I don't hate christains, I don't think religion is a bad thing the problem I have with religious people is that they can't seperate their personal beliefs from their political beliefs. Conservatives actually have decent ideas when it comes to fiscal responsibility and making sure our country doesn't go bankrupt. But instead of actually trying to get something done. they waste all their time on abortion or bitching about how a nativity scene can't be infront of their firehouse. |
