| Movies I Need To See
Haven't seen a new movie in about 4 or 5 months. Not sure why really but there are some interesting movies coming out soon. | 1 | | Regina Soita mulle
Shame. Firstly, Fassbender rules, and secondly Steve McQueen's last movie with him, Hunger was pretty epic. Thirdly I've never seen a NC-17 movie. | 2 | | Slowdive Souvlaki
Drive. | 3 | | Alcest Ecailles De Lune
Melancholia | 4 | | Alcest Souvenirs d'un autre Monde
Immortals | 5 | | So Hideous, My Love To Clasp a Fallen Wish With Broken Fingers
City Lights | 6 | | Faust Faust IV
The Guard | 7 | | Olafur Arnalds Living Room Songs
Every Ingmar Bergman/Jean Pierre Melville film I haven't seen, which is plenty, key ones include Army Of Shadows, The Virgin Spring, Wild Strawberries, Leon Morin Priest, Le Cercle rouge and Hour of the Wolf. | 8 | | Cinema Strange Cinema Strange
21 Jump Street, Looks absolutely retarded which means it's a must see for me in addition to Breaking Dawn which im also stoked for. | |

11.07.11 | Drive is fucking awesome. Shame intruiges me, and I have Melancholia but haven't watched it yet. Immortals will either be uber awesome or a steaming heap of stale wank. | Hyperion1001
11.07.11 | I'm interested in Drive, ive heard it takes a lot of influence from the noir genre and i love noir films. | BallsToTheWall
11.07.11 | I too love Noir films. You've seen Kubrick's The Killing? Pretty fucking rad. Immortals is bringing back the excitement and sheer manliness of 300 in 2011. Might have to see it on midnight opening. | Hyperion1001
11.07.11 | I haven't but it is in my netflix queue which consists of way too many movies at this point haha. | Sanders
11.07.11 | This is why I hope it isn't a let down. My mate at uni got so pumped up watching 300 he punched his mirror to pieces. Fingers crossed it isn't as shite as Clash of the Titans.... | BallsToTheWall
11.07.11 | Yeah, Clash was a big, big mess, starting with Sam Worthington's presence to Liam Neeson's shining armor and ending with the most anti-climatic closing sequence ever. Only redeeming point was Madds Mikkelsen. | Sanders
11.07.11 | I tried watching it in 3D, but they did the whole post-production alteration, and it was pretty much unwatchable. Liam Neeson is forgiven though for playing a badass in Taken. Now there's a drinking game. | Aids

haha Balls is the greatest | BallsToTheWall
11.07.11 | Same reason why I watch movies like Your Highness and American Pie direct to dvd specials. | klap
11.07.11 | have you seen martha marcy may marlene? | Kubrick
11.07.11 | Melancholia is really good. Planning on seeing it again once it gets released in theaters (I watched it through VOD). I wasn't absolutely blown away by it but I definitely enjoyed it a lot. It's a pretty subtle film other than the blatantly obvious metaphors. Plus von Trier's movies seem to sit better with me after multiple viewings if Antichrist is any indication. | FrankRedHot
11.07.11 | Drive is possibly one of the best flicks I've seen in the last decade. | Bandido
11.07.11 | Agreed with what everyone has said on here: Drive was awesome. Probably different than what I and most people expected, but still great. Didn't really get a noir feel from it, personally, but it definitely has a retro feel, like a 60s/70s action film.
The action scenes are awesome cause they don't use a fuckload of CGI and explosives and super fast shots that make it impossible to figure out what's going on. It's very straight-to-the-point action. Also, some of the violence in it kinda gave me a "History of Violence" vibe. I don't know about anyone else |
