Songs About Yearning, Love Lost And Desire

So here's 11 tracks, most only a few years old and (I believe) all released in the last decade. With few exceptions, these are rarely talked about, but all have passionate vocals that I find all too relatable. Maybe some of these are a bit too sad and maybe they focus too much on the vocals but these are some favorites I first heard in the last couple years. Please check out the youtube clips if you're familiar with the band but unfamiliar with the song!
1Arctic Monkeys
Favourite Worst Nightmare

505 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPVBvGzPTRw ). Almost always
the encore played for their shows, this is by far the most emotional song
I've seen from them. Exploding a bit at the end, but displays more depth
than I've ever seen out of these guys.
2Beck
Modern Guilt

VOLCANO ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11dfxny7zZw ). Another
stroke of sadness from one of the most underrated and eclectic musicians
of the last couple decades.
3Jack Johnson
In Between Dreams

SITTING, WAITING, WISHING ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=Ffgsf3pqaD8 ). Just a simple man with a guitar - a quintessential
acoustic act that deserves much of the fame he has received.
4Local Natives
Gorilla Manor

CARDS AND QUARTERS ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLGYOfQfIMo ).
It's so easy to skip over this song when listening to the album, but this is a
centerpiece to the slower 2nd half of the album that adds so much to the
collection of tracks. If you patiently wait, the song gets more and more
involved until it somehow manages to end both subtly and dramatically.
5The Morning Benders
Big Echo

STITCHES ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDk1xYMqw4E ). Mostly
cheery and perhaps owing too much to Grizzly Bear's sound, these guys
still got fantastic musicianship and probably throw out more soul here than
they have anywhere else.
6Mumford & Sons
Sigh No More

I GAVE YOU ALL ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhlyEqBPcyo ). It's
probably a bad thing when you see a band live that only has 1 song and
they don't play your favorite song... Still, rather than breaking out with the
Banjo, the lyricist takes the leads here, and to me that's an incredibly
welcome change of pace.
7My Morning Jacket
Z

GIDEON ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljdKQ44HZgo ). True pioneers
precursing a lot of what you hear today with Fleet Foxes, et al.
8Panda Bear
Person Pitch

PONYTAIL ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tq7E-6wf5Q ). Loosely, I
may join Lewis on Team Avey Tare, but this is a Panda Bear track very very
worth checking out.
9The Shins
Chutes Too Narrow

PINK BULLETS ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3SCXVI87ws ). Such
an extraordinary album, this particular track just happens to fit the motif of
the list.
10The Shins
Wincing The Night Away

A COMET APPEARS ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVutw8DLuD4 ). I
probably have more love for the Shins than anyone else on here. Anyways,
another gem
11Sufjan Stevens
Seven Swans

TO BE ALONE WITH YOU ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vgy5g-djuA
). Sufjan hasn't fully sunk in with me, but this song has. Very much so
