Hyperion1001
02.21.11 | 34 and 46 are so good. List better get featured. |
pizzamachine
02.21.11 | Whoah, epic list. |
AngelofDeath
02.21.11 | Aye, Sputnik needs to learn how to prog just as much as it needs to learn how to Satan. |
BallsToTheWall
02.21.11 | 69 sounded great. When my labtop gets off it's period im gonna hear the rest. |
AngelofDeath
02.21.11 | Glad you liked it. Sorry to hear your comp is having a heavy flow. |
dreamobile
02.21.11 | definitely would have picked Space Ritual over anything else for Hawkwind. Why no Weather Report? they were a great fusion band |
AngelofDeath
02.21.11 | Because I'm not big on live albums and there are a lot of better fusion bands on here than Weather Report. |
Ovrot
02.21.11 | List progs hard. |
AngelofDeath
02.21.11 | "List better get featured."
Won't hold my breath. Not exactly a genre the mods or most of the userbase cares about. |
Nagrarok
02.21.11 | Now this is a prog list. |
Jethro42
02.21.11 | Lots of good stuff, some that I recently added to the data base.
28 is the Harmonium's frontman solo album featuring couple of Harmonium musicians, and it's as good as Harmonium itself. I own a vinyl copy and I'm not sure if it's available on CD.
At least there's couple of songs found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qb8jY74dlGw annnd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib3eTzr9dms |
omnipanzer
02.21.11 | Soooooo much goodness here.... |
420yeah666yeah69no2
02.21.11 | yeah prog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
KILL
02.21.11 | DAMN DUDE i gota get so much list favd |
Jethro42
02.21.11 | I feel at home here haha
And for those who are interested, ProgJect (the collaboration between Nagrarok and me) is now reviewing 46.
33 soon will follow. Then, some Van der graaf Generator. |
AngelofDeath
02.21.11 | Jethro, get some Jacula. Evil prog with pipe-organ recorded in a cathedral. m/ |
Jethro42
02.21.11 | D'accord, I will do angel, bro. |
vanderb0b
02.21.11 | One of the best lists in recent memory. Check out Jethro Tull's live album, Bursting Out; it's versions of Aqualung and Locomotive Breath are infinitely better than the studio originals. |
Jethro42
02.21.11 | Bursting Out HELL YES
Also about Procol Harum, Grand Hotel is still better IMO.
|
Jruined
03.19.11 | Props. Great list. |
Karamazov
02.02.13 | Love this list - a bit heavy on the ELP and Yes for my taste though |
AngelofDeath
02.02.13 | ELP, maybe, as 26 may be the only one that's truly essential, but Yes put out quite a few excellent albums. Close to the Edge may be my all-time favorite of the genre. |
Havey
02.02.13 | no such thing as too much Yes |
KILL
02.02.13 | still the best list ever |
demigod!
02.02.13 | great list i gotta check a bunch of these. been proggin lately |
AngelofDeath
02.02.13 | Yeah, we should use this to conduct a poll for the staffers. And anyone who has heard less than 40% of the albums on this list gets booted. |
Chortles
02.02.13 | good plan
i second close to the edge being the best prog |
AngelofDeath
02.02.13 | Something about that album. Just makes me feel almost euphoric every time I listen. |
KILL
02.02.13 | close to the edge is prefect yea, but hemispheres and a farewell to kings are best for me. a lot of the top prog classics are pretty close though, perfection all round! |
AngelofDeath
02.02.13 | AFtK is probably second or third. Those two and Mirage are like the trifecta of prog. |
SgtPepper
02.02.13 | This list is indeed incredible. I've never heard of Popol Vuh, I'll read your review on it and give them a listen. |
Jethro42
02.02.13 | So much win on here. |
Keyblade
04.08.13 | what

YankeeDudel
04.08.13 | yea you cant really go wrong with an angel list. i have a bunch of em still bookmarked. |
