Best Punk/ska Albums

My favorite Punk and Ska albums that Ive listened to so far. Ratings rbased on each album as a rwhole, not band overall. No EPs or Split rCDs are included.
30 The Casualites
Under Attack

A good hardcore/streetpunk album. Leaves alot to be desired
29The Unseen
State of Discontent

Probably the best overall hardcore punk album, still lacking in many aspects. edit: Relistened to this one and
decided it was much better than internal salvation
28 Dropkick Murphies
The Meanest of Times

Irish/Boston Punk. You like it or you dont.
27Mad Caddies
Keep It Going

Cool, New Orleans style (?) ska. Has one of the catchiest songs ever.
26Less Than Jake
Hello Rockview

Wouldve made a great EP with out most of the second half, but then it
wouldnt make this list at all.
25Bad Religion
New Maps of Hell

The only Bad Religion Cd i actually own. From what I hear the older stuff is
better.
24The Bronx
The Bronx (III)

Good Cd, but the re-playability just isnt there
23Against Me!
Searching for a Former Clarity

Hit or miss on alot of songs, but a good listen.
22Sublime
Sublime

This was worth the post-humorous fame Sublime received. First two
wouldve been more worth it.
21Less Than Jake
Anthem

Fun pop punk ska album. LTJ's most solid performance.
20The Bouncing Souls
Anchors Aweigh

Good album that was close to being great. Fizzles in the middle hardcore.
19The Bouncing Souls
The Gold Record

First album that shows the Souls skills as talented musicians
18 Sublime
40 oz to Freedom

Sublime's first. A wide variety of songs, including some of their best and
worst work.
17Reel Big Fish
Turn the Radio Off

Fun ska album from a fun ska band.
16Green Day
Dookie

Green Day's only good punk piece. All their best songs are on here
15The Bouncing Souls
Ghosts on the Boardwalk

Different Sound from the (kinda old) souls, but its still fun and its very good
musically
14Anti-Flag
For Blood and Empire

Solid piece by Anti-Flag. Starts to fizzle in the middle, but makes up for it
overall.
13The Bouncing Souls
How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Pop Punk at its finest. Catchy, fun, energetic (and its even better live)
12 Sublime
Robbin' The Hood

Fun Reggae/Ska/Punk Album with sublimes most under appreciated songs.
Your average high school pot head wont know half of these gems.
11Against Me!
As the Eternal Cowboy

New Direction for Against Me!, the much more straight punk works for them.
Singing is much cleaner, but loses a little of the emotion.
10 Against Me!
Reinventing Axel Rose

A very intense Folk Punk album by Against Me! First full length, but the last
of this style for them.
9Big D and the Kids Table
How It Goes

Amazing blend of punk and ska. Great overall effort by Big D, some of their
best songs are here.
8Anti-Flag
The People or the Gun

Just when you thought they sold out, BAM
7 Catch 22
Keasby Nights

Its really good too. Punk bands dont really make good full length cds...
6Big D and the Kids Table
Fluent In Stroll

New, Unique Sound. Not very intense but still very enjoyable and dance -
(not mosh)- able.
5 Streetlight Manifesto
Keasby Nights

Its just better than the Catch 22 one. When Tomas performs theses songs
live it sounds more like this version. Added verse in Dear Sergio is a bonus.
(99 Songs isnt on here, dont worry)
4The Gaslight Anthem
Sink or Swim

Raw, emotional album. Fun to listen to, run around, and sing out loud
3Big D and the Kids Table
Strictly Rude

Big D switched up their sound for this cd and it works. One of the first Ska
cds i got into.
2Streetlight Manifesto
Everything Goes Numb

A few small flaws
1Streetlight Manifesto
Somewhere In The Between

The catchiest, funnest, most danceable ska albums. Fun from start to finish.
Great lyrics too
