Intriguing Interludes

Sometimes, it's necessary for an album to make a pit stop. That breather can be either beneficial to how the record plays out or it can be a waste of time. Though, here, I've listed a handful of musical interludes that I find to be interesting to an album's progression.
1Psyopus
Our Puzzling Encounters Considered

Play Some Skynyrd

A spazzy parody directed at Lynyrd Skynyrd with sweeps up and down. Kind of encapsulates the sporadic nature of the groups' music in general.
2Uyama Hiroto
Freeform Jazz

Fools No Rules

An apt title for what the little ditty contains. Here, you will get a "refresher" with fast-paced tunes from various jazzy instruments.
3Taylor McFerrin
Early Riser

4 AM

Can potentially be set as an alarm clock, ironically enough. It follows a similar tone to the aforementioned interlude, though, minus the free jazz-esqe nature.

Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic

The Carboniferous Rainforest Collapse

Engaging with pretty simple notes and composition. Not sure if this one counts, but compared to the other songs, it's a lot shorter. I feel that this one seems to serve as an effective build-up for the following song.
5People Under the Stairs
O.S.T.

The Heat

P.U.T.S. makes a parody of "tough guy" hip-hop. That's all.

Mute Swan

An upbeat and effective refresher from the energetic passages earlier on in the record. Segues into the next song (Blood Petals) well.

Glitch in the You I Thought I Knew

Trance elements that ease the listener until throwing them into the sudden heavy track that follows.

Spiritual State

Color of Autumn

Short and sweet. I guess it's like a mini-song in this case, but it's definitely worth listening to in general.

Animals as Leaders

Tessitura

Distorted guitar with a bit of style, I guess, lol. Whatever it is, is spices up the record a bit.

Quintessence

Distortion^2. Feels that they've really encapsulated the idea of "stoner rock" with this little ditty.

The Color Of the Fire

Trippy speech from someone that echoes throughout. It's kind of like an old memory that manifests into something completely messed up (but intriguing nonetheless).

Its All Around You

[Bonus] Computer, Please Go Lo-Fi

Abrasive yet enthralling. Suits the record with its inclusion of samples and transitions nicely into the next song.
