What To Get: August Edition

Pretty self-explanatory, list of upcoming albums with August release dates I'm excited for. Feel free to chip in with anything on your own lists I may be missing.
1Manchester Orchestra
A Black Mile to the Surface

Technically not an August release, but I pre-ordered the vinyl and will be surprised if it gets here before next month. Each and every single thus far has been stellar, so pretty hyped, but purposefully holding off on any streams or whatnot until I've got it in my hands.
2Cloakroom
Time Well

Been a minute since we heard from these folks, and a little more far-ranging, weird sludgy-ish whatever-you'd-call-this is always welcome.
3Turnover
Good Nature

Magnolia was a solid debut, and I absolutely loved Peripheral Vision; the band seems to be taking a page from Title Fight's book, if not necessarily in exact trajectory, but in that every album's going to have a different overall aesthetic. Sounds like dream-pop this go-round, which, let's have at it.
4Steven Wilson
To the Bone

Chalk it up to nostalgia for first getting into Porcupine Tree back in my formative middle school years, but I'm still a sucker for Wilson's poppy brand of prog. This whole ABBA-indebted thing may well be a bridge too far, but at least it seems a little less self-serious as is too often his wont.
5Queens of the Stone Age
Villains

Speaking of fun sounds, "Like You Used to Do" sounds bouncier than QotSA's been in years, which is a good look (although nothing against the fantastic return-to-form Like Clockwork, which was ponderous in the best possible interpretation of the term). Also seeing them at the Anthem in October, so pretty pumped for that, as well.
6Motograter
Desolation

Honestly, this one may come down more to morbid curiosity than anything else, but Motograter (despite only having one proper album back in their--and nu-metal as a whole's--heyday) has been an undersung casualty of a genre that's suddenly seeing some sort of decade-plus-on critical reassessment. Granted, the restrospects are mostly negative, but there are always some hidden gems, and I'd be lying if I claimed that I have dug up "Down" and "No Name" after an appropriate amount of drinks...
7Iron And Wine
Beast Epic

On almost the absolute flip-side, curious to see what Sam Beam and co. are gonna drop on us this time around. Gone for good, I'm sad but sure, are the days of my personal favorite iteration of his whispery folk just on the cusp of an expanded sonic palette, but hey, even a sprawling, self-indulgent release from these guys is worth a few spins.
8Frankie Rose
Cage Tropicale

Honestly pretty surprised at how little attention she gets on this site, definitely a great blend of garage-y and dreamy pop, perfect for fans of the likes of Dum Dum Girls (or, naturally, Rose's other, similarly-named act Vivian Girls).
9Hammock
Mysterium

Hammock is a cult unto itself at this point. Odds are, this will be ethereal, gorgeous, and tear-jerking without even so much as a couplet of lyrics. And the songs I've heard so far have been nothing short of that.
10Rosetta
A Dead-Ender's Reunion

Another not-technically-August release (and this isn't even the album proper, since I don't think they've formally released the art or tracklist yet [but I could be/hope I'm wrong, so please let me know if you've seen something I haven't]), but they claim it's dropping September 1st, so, y'know, close enough. But also, not close enough! (Not really) fun fact: I almost saw these guys in Baltimore a few months back, but a car crashed into the front of the venue earlier that day, so the show was understandably cancelled. Here's hoping they come back behind this album.
11Leprous
Malina

Shameful omission #1.
12Less Art
Strangled Light

Shameful omission #2.
