the first day of summer

for me at least. real happy that im now a year closer to graduating high. list is music related summer memories, because i would rather spend my vacation on the internet then outside with friends.
1Gorillaz
Gorillaz

2011: This was the year I really got into music, al though the only bands I ever listened to by this point was Gorillaz and Linkin Park. Still, I like to think back on this summer as the year I took my first few steps to the music taste I have today.
2Local H
As Good as Dead

2012: This is when I started to expand my taste a little more outside whatever my local stations would play. I remember buying this CD off of Amazon and being super stoked when it came in the mail. My mom would always go out to work on her horse, which was located at a ranch about half an hour away, and I would always bring this with and play it on repeat for hours on end. This was also the year I found out about sputnik, even though I didn't made an account until much later
3The Vines
Highly Evolved

2013: I remember getting a ton of CDs this summer, and I also remember going on a lot of trips around this time also. One disc that I remember bringing a lot on said trips was Highly Evolved, and for good reason: It kicked ass.
4Pg. 99
Document #4

2014: During the first few days of summer, I would play a lot of online games like Trouble in Terrorist Town, and whenever I died and had to wait to respond, I would check out Pg.99 stuff, since most of it was really short. I remember listening to Document #4 for the first time and being absolutley blown away by it, even if it was only two songs. This was also the summer I joined sputnik, after years of lurking.
5Frodus
And We Washed Our Weapons In The Sea

Today: Now I'm 16, so right now i'm planning on doing three things this summer: Get my drivers license, get a job, and smash more than usual. It doesn't have to be in that particular order. Anyways, right now I've been really getting into Frodus, Slint, and some other stuff. I've been planning on some more reviews too, but I'm super lazy so I doubt I'll get that many done ha.
