06.26.08 | Have you checked out Helheim- Kaoskult yet? Progressive black/viking metal. A bit like newer Enslaved but better. 4 sounds bizarre,i'll check that 16 and 17. However, I tend to lose track and will ofrget this and your last list so i'll try. Seriously man......... you sir need to write a review. Not sure about anyone else but it never takes me long to write. |
Crimson
06.26.08 | Haha, I actually have one of these, 16.
Sounds a bit like EOS only not as good, still very solid death metal, for some reason the sound of it is quiet on my pc :-/ |

06.26.08 | MOPA is ridiculous. Really unique. |
lateoctober

06.26.08 | pianotuna: hope you like those albums. i have your album on my to get list. im almost at it
balls: no i havent, but ill look them up. i know it probably doesnt take long to write a review but i just hat to write full paragraphs and i am horrible at describing music for more than one sentence
crimson: my version is loud, and yeah theyre a not as good EOS, but still good |
jrowa001
06.26.08 | dwitt: yeah theyre really unique
lateoctober: if by 3 you mean the Misanthrope album i put up before, dont check them out. after listening to them again, the vocals were horrible. Martriden are much better. |

06.28.08 | new question (unrelated to list, sorry). i figured you know a good bit about nick cave, so i was wonderign where would be a good place to go? all i've got is their release this year, and i wasn't too fond of it, but i want a second chance. :p thanks if you reply. |
Dethtrasher
06.29.08 | Holy Shit jrowa I will be that Martriden album soon. Is it melodic as well? |
Dethtrasher
06.29.08 | Correction: I will buy the Martriden album. |
jrowa001
06.30.08 | painotuna: go with Murder Ballads. imo its their best, then go with Let Love In and maybe one of their older albums like The Firstborn Is Dead. their new album would be hard to get into for first time listeners, i recommend to stayt away from Cave's other band Grinderman until you listen to those albums i suggested.
Deth: glad to see you like them, yeah they are def buy worthy |

07.11.08 | LUCINDA WILLIAMS!
way to build cred easily :p
if you like her, *please* look into Vic Chesnutt. very few other people here seem to have the slightest idea about him - only his 2007 album has any ratings besides my own, but he's been making albums since either 90 or 91. "West of Rome" and "Drunk" are generally considered his best, and i agree |

07.11.08 | to pianotuna & jrowa: my own introduction to nick cave was the abattoir blues/lyre of orpheus double album. and at first listen i absolutely fell in love with it; at the time i would've given it a score of 5, had i been frequenting this site. now i don't see it as THAT amazing, but still, great introduction. then again i've always had a taste for post-punk, long before i knew such a term even existed. so it might not work as well for you, but. it did for me. |
jrowa001
07.11.08 | ill look into Vic.
i have all of Cave's albums so i dont need anymore introducing to his music. but the album you listed is an ok start for Cave but that album is a bit different from his earlier, more dark albums |
