Top 20 La Dispute Songs

Well, I did this... EXACTLY 3 YEARS AGO AND I SWEAR THIS WASN'T rINTENTIONAL UNTIL I HAD MADE THE NEW LIST AND LOOKED BACK, except rit was only the top 10. And I've only loved these guys more ever since.
20La Dispute
Rooms of the House

Stay Happy There - The "Harder Harmonies" of this album (like really, the structure
is pretty similar). A fantastic first single release that reminded everyone who hasn't
been listening recently why this band is as good as it is. Still, this somewhat
typical sounding La Dispute track was one of a kind on "Rooms of the House" which
isn't a bad thing by any means. If anything, it made this stand out more to me.
19La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

Fall Down, Never Get Back Up Again - I almost put "Eight" over this...and although
that song is fantastic, this song is beautiful. Like...really beautiful. It's the perfect
song for standing by the waves on a beach at nighttime.
18La Dispute
Rooms of the House

Woman (reading) - Jordan's singing in this song is downright gorgeous. Every time I
hear those brief sections, I get this soothing sensation that I've never gotten from
this band before. The first half is my favorite (as of now) but the later is cool too.
17La Dispute
Vancouver

The Surgeon and The Scientist - My favorite from this EP. I think it is the best
indicator of what was to come for this band afterwards. It's an epic one and the
"My God, I would kill to make you smile" is amazing.
16Touche Amore/La Dispute
Searching For a Pulse/The Worth of The World

Why It Scares Me - One of my favorites lyrically by this band...It really lives up to
its namesake.
15La Dispute
Wildlife

Edward Benz, 27 Times - Every now and then, I'll argue and say that this is the
superior story on Wildlife as opposed to King Park. The way he explained it on the
Conversations EP was really something. I love the unique style of this and it's a
really epic track when all is said and done.
14La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

The Castle Builders - God, that ending is outstanding. The rest is amazing too, but
that last part always gets me.
13La Dispute
Here, Hear. III

Twelve - For a long time, this was the only song that actually featured Jordan
singing like a human (in a Jordan sort of way, of course) until Rooms of The House
came along. It's cute and beautiful and even though it's a rather plain song, it's
something this band has never done and I love it.
12La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

Damaged Goods - The 2nd song I heard by this bands and god did my ears hurt. I
didn't get it. But once I finally did...damn. This song is just my jam and is a great
indicator for how hard this band can go.
11La Dispute
Wildlife

Safer In The Forest/Love Song For Poor Michigan - The restrained first part of this
song is outstanding and I always used to prefer that to the later. Now I treat it
as one well crafted entity. Despite that, I will say that the first part is something
that really surprised me when I first heard it because it was so unexpected. It took
awhile to grow on me, but now it's one of my favorites.
10La Dispute
Wildlife

Harder Harmonies - The first song I heard by this band as a brand new song. The
best choice for a first single because it just gets to the point and does everything
a La Dispute track should do. That guitar in the end is just plain awesome.
9La Dispute
Here, Hear. III

Ten - My favorite from these series of EP's. Songs in 5 always intrigue me and
everything here is just so nicely written. It's almost calming until that climax and
then it just has that great buildup.
8Touche Amore/La Dispute
Searching For A Pulse/The Worth of The World

How I Feel - God, this song just gives it all on a hardcore level. My favorite shorter
song by the band and rightfully so.
7La Dispute
Wildlife

King Park - nope it's not in the top 5. But I will say that this song deserves its
acclaim. Delivery like this is something that is unique to this band. The buildup and
then the end of this roller coaster will leave you with shivers throughout your body.
6La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

Andria - The last section of this song is probably the one most can relate to in
terms of unrequited love. It gets me every time. And god, that decelerando will
always be one of the coolest things this band has ever done.
5La DIspute
Rooms of the House

Extraordinary Dinner Party - My favorite off of the new release and rightfully so.
It's short, but it does a lot in it's time frame. To me, this song on the album is the
real epic conclusion and "Objects In Space" is the credits track.
4La Dispute
Wildlife

all our bruised bodies and the whole heart shrinks - Jordan is giving it his all here
lyrically. Some parts here are downright haunting, especially the last screamed "I
wonder what I'll find".
3La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

Said The King To The River - This is the song that helped me understand this band.
I really didn't any of it until I found this. The vocals finally clicked and everything
flowed wonderfully.
2La Dispute
Wildlife

You And I In Unison - A magnificent closer to a magnificent album. This song just
holds nothing back in the last minute or so and it sums up everything Wildlife is.
1La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

The Last Lost Continent - Alright, this should come as no surprise to anyone. This
song is big...like really big. I don't think any description could do this song the
justice it deserves, but I will say that this is my favorite song of all time and for now it really seems like it always will be...and
I'm perfectly okay with that.
