05.30.14 | The Giants have a great shot at making the Super Bowl, there's no smoking weed or anything to influence that. We have easily the best defensive secondary in the league, NYG just snatched Walter Thurmmond from Seattle and he's beast! We also have Rodgers-Cromartie from Denver, and Bowman from Chicago who both happened to have done well last year for their teams.
Plus, our WR corps is revamped with our first-round pick in Odell Beckham Jr, leading the way with Victor Cruz since we decided to let Nicks go (finally, he sucked last year but I thank him for his service). Special teams is gonna kill too, Trindon Holiday is gonna tear up the field like he did for Denver last year and same with David Wilson. The offensive backfield is gonna do well the selves, especially with the second coming of Bradshaw and Jacobs in Rashard Jennings and Andre Williams (Heisman finalist last year, great pick). O-line is gonna finally do their job and protect Eli, which will result in the quarterback who nearly threw 5,000 yards in the 2011 season we won the SB.
Call me nuts, but with our easy schedule aside from Philadelphia, Seattle, and Indianapolis we'll either go 12-4 or 13-3. Sick of the media hating on our QB, BELIEVE IN ELI!!! |

05.30.14 | ok lol |

05.30.14 | Fully healthy RG3 throwing bombs to Djax, Garçon and Roberts. |
intotheshit
05.30.14 | Lol Rodgers-Cromartie was in a contract year. Don't bet on him.
Odell Beckham is a rookie.
David Wilson and Trindon Holiday can't hold onto the ball.
And your o-line will finally protect Eli? Where's your evidence? I mean, they were ssssoooooo good at it before lol.
Dude, I think you just need to shut up. |
SPRFanOf5H
05.30.14 | I hate the fact Djax left Phily for DC, makes them more dangerous but hell we'll rip em like last year. Tho that first game against DC was a bit rigged late in the game, wouldn't you agree Wadlez? First down, second down, then all of a sudden it was fourth down for the Redskins that was crazy stuff I saw. Dallas is gonna get fucked over, sending a message this time by kicking Romo's ass.
seriously tho, the protesting shit over the name Redskins is ridiculous. No problem with it at all, classic name and so much history written all over it especially with their past. |
intotheshit
05.30.14 | And I wouldn't be too excited with the "second coming" of Bradshaw and Jennings. That's like being excited in the second coming of Crystal Pepsi. Different look, same shifty flavor. |
SPRFanOf5H
05.30.14 | intotheshit, hello what you looking at? Wilson ain't our starting running back, we are putting that with Jennings and Andre Williams. You're right about his fumbling tho, which is why he ain't getting a chance. As for o-line, we did acquire Schwartz from Kansas City whos among the best offensive linemen in the league to fill one of the holes in the line. We also acquired the best center in the draft in Weston Richburg from Colorado State, who will do well from Day 1. Justin Pugh has done us wonders as well so the o-line will be definitely different than last season.
sure Beckham is a rookie but hello Cruz was a rookie and I remember him shining against the Jets in the preseason opener in 2010 on ESPN. I love the doubters on the Giants, when we win again it will be great to shut you guys up like we did in '08 and in '11. |
intotheshit
05.30.14 | Lol you don't even know your team. Cruz wasn't a rookie, ya fucking moron. |
Wadlez
05.30.14 | SPR, I remember that game. What a mess. Philly fans can't be too happy Djax ended up in DC, the skins should have a solid offense, who knows what the D should bring. I'm optimistic last season was an aberration for RG3, having to rehab from injury. The NFC East is an open division next season imo.
Agreed the issue over the Redskins name is ridic. |
intotheshit
05.30.14 | And don't ever, ever bet on rookies to save tour team in their first year. That's just dumb. |
SPRFanOf5H
05.30.14 | It's not dumb, and I do know my team. I've been a loyal Giants fan since '05, I have taken time to read their entire history, good and bad. Yes Cruz was a rookie in 2010, we got him thru free agency bc he went undrafted in that year's draft!
Wadlez I agree this is an open division, Philadelphia is gonna blow though. The real battle is between DC and New York, I think. RGIII has to redeem himself for his lackluster sophomore season tho, its a make it or break it year for him. Safe to say both our teams will make the playoffs, hopefully you guys can kill Seattle for us and we'll meet in the NFC title game lol.
seriously tho, hate the Hawks with a burning passion. Ridiculously overrated pieces of shit, especially Sherman tho his play is beast. |
intotheshit
05.30.14 | He was a rookie in 2010. Too bad the Philly game was the next year. Again, know you'refucking team before you spout off at the mouth.

CoolCalmJoe
05.30.14 | "We have easily the best defensive secondary in the league" You just listed 3 players their former teams didn't bother to resign, and ranked them as the best secondary in the league?
Walter Thurmond didn't even end the season as a starter.
WRs doing well as rookies is not commonplace. The NY Giants have somewhat proven that their offense makes it incredibly easy for slot receivers to put up stats. |
DikkoZinner
05.30.14 | Go Bengals! Not sold on Dalton as nobody in their right mind should be. Hurts to lose the DC & OC. Hoping for the best. |
DominionMM1
05.30.14 | s'all bout dem saints bruh |
SPRFanOf5H
05.30.14 | Thurmond wasn't used as much bc of the talented secondary Seattle has. The other two were starters and did pretty good for their respective squads last season which is why the secondary has been boosted very well. Add Amumkamara into the mix and you got yourself a really good secondary, along with the most underrated safety in the league in Stevie Brown.
btw I do know how many first rounders fail, im not stupid. Ron Dayne was a great example of that for NY, and Wilson is falling towards that category. Doesnt mean that there are a select few that can shine in their rookie season, Justin Pugh did just that last year starting. I got high hopes for this year's squad, for good reason especially with the free agency extravaganza we had and our good draft.
As for the Bengals, they should go with McCarron over Dalton. Dalton can't win them a playoff game, and he's been total shit when they make the playoffs. Cleveland is smart with not using Manziel as a starter, Hoyer was actually helping out the Browns well leading them to a 4-2 record before he got injured and then Weeden returned. I'd stick with him until the time comes for Johnny to prove himself, which I'm sure he will. They could try using both QBS like TCU did, you got a pocket QB and then your scrambling QB in Manizel who can also pass really well. It may just work. |
DominionMM1
05.30.14 | it's gonna go one of two ways for the giants: they'll either go 7-9 and miss the playoffs or 10-6, get a wc spot, and go on a tear that ends with them in the super bowl. i'm gonna bet on the former but with the giants you never really know. |
CoolCalmJoe
05.30.14 | "Thurmond wasn't used as much bc of the talented secondary Seattle has." So a Seattle castoff and 2 other players not deemed worthy of their new contracts with their former teams make up the best secondary in the league?
Surely you can see some logical missteps in that assessment.
And lol @ your dual qb/McCarron over Dalton statements. |

GuanoBumbershoot
05.30.14 | Did you just say the Giants have the best defensive secondary back there somewhere? I mean I'll take another look, just to ensure no one would ever type that out and hit "Submit". They probably got better in FA, but fuck, don't boast malarkey like that without seeing a down. |

05.30.14 | rg3 is done guys nothing to see here |
CoolCalmJoe
05.30.14 | The Polish army enrolled a black bear into their army during WWII and he would deliver artillery shells, food, and other supplies during combat. How awesome is that? |
Wadlez
05.30.14 | Can't consider RG3 done unless he has another down year or two. He spent last offseason recovering from an ACL. With a full healthy offseason we will see him maybe not back at 2012 levels, but not far off at least. He also has so many weapons this year (Garcon, Jackson, Roberts, Reed, Morris). |
intotheshit
05.30.14 | The thing that made RG3 so great was his ability to use his legs to create. He's an average to above average pocket passer, but he won't ever be the same after that ACL injury. It's not his fault. It's Shanahans, and that's what is so shitty about it. |
NordicMindset
05.30.14 | The Giants need a better OL and DL first

SPRFanOf5H
05.30.14 | I agree with the linebacking core issue, we only have Beason that produces. Thats still an issue, as well as the tight end situation. I mean, Kellen Davis isn't gonna cut it. Special teams defensively is something thats a bit worrisome, especially since we sucked balls last year at it.
Fuck u if u think im a dumb football fan, im surely not. I just have high aspirations for the Giants this year, I surely didn't last year just looking at the roster. Sure, we'll have some chemistry issues in the first few weeks but I bet ya that it'll be in sync by Week 7 or 8. Plus the schedule is way easier than last season, where we were given plenty of brutal opponents. I surely don't want to get into any issues here man, because u do bring good points but the Giants will improve greatly from last year, possibly making the SB. If you think that ain't gonna happen, your dumber than the rest of them.
And geez, to compare me to Jets fans? I can't fucking stand them, bunch of asswipes who think Sanchez or now Geno Smith will save their team when really they got various issues ranging from secondary to defensive line. |
intotheshit
05.30.14 | Oh, and by the way, I'm going to ignore the fact that Schwartz has played for a different team every year of his career. What I will dwell on is that his skill set is perfect for a run first offense.
I hate to say it, but the Giants aren't even close to a run first offense. |
ShadowRemains
05.30.14 | ikr he is the god sent down from the heavens |

05.30.14 | Lol you can't dismiss the Jets comparison, considering you have glaring issues with several positions, and yet you're predicting super bowl. You're just as bad. |
SPRFanOf5H
05.30.14 | They never were a run first offense, its always been pass first thanks to Kevin Gillbride. Fortunately we sent his ass out, his offense was way too predictable which contributed to subpar seasons aside from the last 2 super bowl wins. |

05.30.14 | #1 reason the Giants will not win another Superbowl... Eli Manning is not an elite qb. |

SPRFanOf5H
05.30.14 | Eli has been regarded as no elite QB, I actually agree with that. He's too inconsistent, he can be clutch but can also fuck up too. Giants need to look at replacing him soon, his health status is a bit of a concern too since he got injured in the last game of last season. |
