!!! (commonly verbalised as "chk chk chk" but pronunciation may vary) formed in 1996 out of the ashes of hardcore band Yah Mos, with the goal of becoming a more danceable band than the failed predecessor. The group, which quickly morphed into an eight-piece band, spent its formative years performing house parties and small venues in the areas surrounding their founding city of Sacremento, CA. The band released their first full-length album in 2000 (!!!), followed by Me and Guiliani Down by the Schoolyard in 2003 and the acclaimed Louden Up Now in 2004. Myth Takes was released 2007, while Strange Weather, Isn't It? followed in August 2010.
Their sound is best described as danceable indie rock.
