3.5 great | letsalldie | March 3rd 12 | It's impossible to deny the influence of this band and of this, their most popular album, going gold in every nation recognized by the United Nations. However, I question the talent of this so called pop mastermind. The sole member of this group, who also goes as Dancecake, spends less than a week on each of his best selling alums. The songs are catchy of course (there's no question why "Qwerty You Jerk" has been the theme to more than twenty sitcoms), but they have very little substance - save for the album's leading single, "Kill the People." Although this album will likely be remembered forever, it's almost a shame that he was the one to gain fame, and none of his contemporaries, such as DJ Tanner or the oft-talked about but as of yet never recorded Aaahh!!! Real Monsters.
