Tedashii or “Tdot” releases his third studio album entitled Blacklight. For those of you who don't know Tedashii is a christian rapper under the label of Reach Records. Reach Records is like the Young Money label of Christian rap started by front man Lecrae. Artists under Reach Records include Lecrae, Tedashii, Pro and Kb. Artists Sho Baraka and Trip Lee where also apart of Reach but for now have taken a hiatus. Blacklight is the first big album after Lecraes Rehab project and continues the success of Reach. Blacklights message is to live with the end in mind, but more importantly is good music because of the top notch production that has gone into Blacklight.

After hearing one of the first songs on Blacklight “Need It Daily” we can hear that Tedashii is back bigger and better than ever. The new signed artist Pro keeps up with Tdot saying “satan tries to trap us like go pursue sin, i'm like silly rabbit trips are for kids”.”Need It Daily” shows through a powerful beats and top notch lyrics what we can expect on “Blacklight”.After hearing the track “Riot” I immediately added it to my workout playlist. “Riot” is a track all about fighting sin and should get everyone's blood pumping. “He Lives” is another good edition to Blacklight and I enjoy the sped up mid west flow on it. “He Lives” is also enjoyable because artist “Jai” makes a really good hook. More and more artists throw there pop artists on the hook and it works well here.

Blacklight samples different beats according to each artists strengths.”This Is The Life” has a jazz beat and Tdot and Sho Baraka do a great job of combining hip hop and jazz.”You Know What It Is” is another banger track. I enjoy that reach is adding more fast rappers like “Kb” featured in “You Know What It Is”. The mid west rapping style is becoming bigger in rap and its good to see Reach has payed attention. “Can't Get With It” is one of my favorite solo Tedashii songs. In “Can't Get With You” Tedashii reveals his life story and provides very relatable lyrics. The song that everybody is looking at is “Dum Dum” featuring Lecrae. In “Dum Dum” Tedashii says “they going to know about us” and that is exactly whats going to happen. After this song everyone should know who Tedashii is. I love Lecraes line “I don't push a Maserati, Beamer, Benz or Bentley”. Tedashii's verse in “Dum Dum” is hot too like this whole album.

Blacklight is a great album and I hope it gets the attention and success it deserves. Blacklight continues the success of Reach and I am excited for there group collaboration album “Man Up”. Any artist that puts this much production in a album is at least worthy of a listen. With sixteen tracks Tedashii gives you some bang for your buck. Blacklight is available for purchase on iTunes for only 7.99.
