Despite only two years between Wrath and their previous album, Awakening, Iris seems to have gone through such a big change in sound that you would think they'd have been inactive for at least ten years. Wrath takes everything from previous albums but then filters out all of the industrial element. Remember though, there was not much of that element to begin with (Iris is more on the synthpop side) so what is left on Wrath is a collection of very solid and very friendly synthpop songs. Another thing to mention is that this collection of songs is more on the rock side, meaning they resemble fellow bands like Mesh more than they do with, say, Echo Image. Regardless, Wrath finds that special balance between rock and synths to create some very very very catchy songs.
