0.0 | bloc | March 31st 10 | Love Traces is enough proof to realize that Minerve is a very solid futurepop act. There isn't much deviance from the standard "main-synth-line-followed-by-the-verse-chorus" but it actually works well. However, the excellence of the band can be seen in the choruses; great lyrics are added on top of these catchy synth lines (as mentioned) to create passages so deep you'd need to try extremely hard to stop yourself from singing along. My major issue with this album is the length. It may be unusual to see 15 tracks but it is made worse due to the fact that at least 5 of these tracks are just remixes of already existing tracks. The remixes aren't terrible or anything, but they could easily be replaced with some original material.
