Review Summary: Classic punk rock with modern touch!
Tower Crane Towers bring back the classic punk to keep you up at night, be young and vandalize state property. TCT branched out of a street art concept and became a full-fledged musical entity, delivering fast and furious punk rock.
Bouncy and energetic tunes that would be a perfect soundtrack for a skateboard video, it sounds so classic and upbeat that it’s hard to believe “Cloudy Skies, Clear Intentions'' was released in 2022.
All the boxes are ticked - DIY ethics, melodic riffs, fast-paced and short songs, positive mood and singalongs. Sounds like a more mature version of MxPx, which can’t be bad.
The songs are hardly longer than three minutes but packed with hooks and intensity. With The Granger Tower Crane Towers do a little experimentation with extreme vocals, putting a more hardcore touch - but not too much, just the right amount.
The release is very consistent, none of the tracks is weaker than others, providing the same high level of both music and lyrics.
I’d say TCT is a band to look up to - with such a powerful statement, more goodness is definitely to come.
