It seems like 2018 might be the year of black metal band going all folk on us. Thrawsunblat might have delivered the most original and well executed folk album with it's percussive acoustic guitar lines, chanted vocals inspired from East Canada Maritime sea shanties and moments of electro-folk instrumentation à la Jethro Tull making for an extremely diverse and engaging package. Go, listen and hear the sound of New-Brunswick
