There's some really solid stuff here (a number of guitar leads and choruses, the Middle-
Eastern breakdown in "Goddamned"), but the product as a whole is brought down by
excessive length, awful mixing, and a few complete duds. The instrumentation is often
quite good and the vocals have their moments, but Tome 2 as a whole is far too
inconsistent to truly leave a lasting impression. Also, that's one of the worst album
covers of the year.
