R.I.P Malik Abdul Basit aka Malik B. This is some devastating news, Malik B, a founding
member of The Roots absolutely ripped it on Do You Want More?, Illadelph Halflife and Things Fall
Apart and came back as a guest on albums like Game Theory and Rising Down. Unpredictable which
was completely produced by Mr. Green was overlooked but brilliant and coming back to it today
makes me wish I'd already heard it more then once, it's 36 minutes of raw beats and complex
lyricism. I always thought of him as one of the most underrated MC's in history, his style was
uniquely his own with a flow and voice that instantly stands out as being original and he was
extremely lyrical, lets keep his music alive! Check this album out here!
