While falling slightly short of greatness because not all of the album's potential feels like it is fully reached, every song on here has powerful moments and the production is fantastic. The atmosphere on tracks like Hard Bastards, Crying, Cargo and Stepping Hard comes close to Roots' defining moment of dark melancholy on All Things To All Men...

This album has some of the most straightforward production and flow I've heard from Roots in a while; "Hard Bastards" is one of those great, chill openers I love hearing from him, "Crying" somehow manages to be deep even when he's talking about his arse, Four Tet nails the production on "Facety 2:11", and so on. I enjoyed this a lot.
