4.5 superbetK | February 22nd 17

Hi, this is my first review and I'm French, so please be nice ^-^rNo one plays with hang drums quite like Manu Delago does. In Silver Kobalt, it's not just Hang and nice Folk music. In every single track Delago shows he never lacks of inspiration, and there's always a good idea, always an experiment with the beautiful instrument. Sometimes in a progressive structure, like in Wandering Around or Down to the Summit, sometimes with featuring in a more radio-friendly and pop style, like the single Drumheart which is absolutely beautiful, or the gentle and touching Disgustingly Beautiful... despite its weird title. In the same style, Chemical Reaction is really good, but one of my favourite tracks here is an instrumental one, since it's Plus Minus. Manu Delago can do whatever experiment he wants and fuse whatever genres he wants, it's always gonna be freaking great. At the very least on that album, which may very well be one of the best albums revolving around that unique instrument, that is to say the Hang.
