Unknown to the world as yet, Tenfold Rabbit is an Estonian folk rock band that grew out of a Youth Band music competition entry.
Their musical style is simple but powerful, incorporating country & western music, indie-rock and folk, with a touch of prog. Their debut album Travel the World was released October 12, 2012.
Tenfold Rabbit reminds me a bit of Ewert And The Two Dragons because of their countrylike indie sound. But of course there's plenty of new roads left for you to discover with these fellows as well.
"Travel the World" starts with those entitled words. And from that moment on, the band will take you on a journey. A journey through the grain fields, forests- whatever comes to your mind with the word "country". This description is especially characteristic for the song "Before the Eyes are Opened". A great deal of inspiration comes from relationship problems as well, but with an injection of optimism that characterises the whole full length. This organic sound is a perfect fit with the band's vocalist(Andres Kõpper).
Finest picks of "Travel the World" for me would be 2. "Before the Eyes are Opened", 4. "If There Was No Sex, There Wouldn't Be No Relationships". 7."Thousand Lights"and 8."Oblivion". For me that's quite a balanced full length.
Tenfold Rabbit have made a bit of name for themselves in Estonia already, so expect big things from them. And go check them out live also if possible. Their January tour includes places such as Riga(LV), Cesis(LV), Liepaja(LV), Vilnius(LT), Prague(CZ), Lodz(PL) and Berlin(DE)
Enjoy!
