I think they've taken elements from one another, but yeah, Deathspell probablly owes more to BAN than the other way around.

thats why i think it doesnt have much replay value, imo theres good atmosphere on this album, its too bad that sometimes it doesnt go anywhere. but its a nice listen from time to time.
