Kendrick Lamar good kid, m.A.A.d city | 1.5 |
Good Kid, b.A.A.d CD:Kendrick's skills are irrelevant on tracks 2-6 and 9 where all the
mainstream marketing schemes ruin this otherwise great CD. Every song needs each other for
atmosphere and perspective, and sadly tracks 2-6 and 9 are too b.A.A.d to sit through unless
you are drunk. Thanks for killing another emcee Interscope. |

Starts out good and Dopium is a great track but otherwise this is filled with trash. *I had rto just the last three songs before I heard over 2 seconds of them. |

Brilliant underground free mixtape |
Eminem The Slim Shady LP | 3.5 |
This is far from a classic! Eminem just rhymes so technically it is entertaining regardless of the bullshit he goes on about. The subject matter is 100% gruesome humor and Eminem feeling sorry for himself, it gets zzzzz boring in tracks 7-13 and sucks bad as a start-to-finish album. rIncredibly overrated! |
Raekwon Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt II | 2.5 |
Only impressive for its production and features. Fitting album title cus Rae has nothing new to say. |

GZA Pro Tools | 5.0 |
Reflection Eternal Revolutions Per Minute | 3.5 |
6ish really good, 5/5, tracks but Hi-Tek's production is not even close to last album and
DAMN Kweli makes a lot of bullshit 'club' type songs. Maybe this is why his music goes from
really witty to flat out stupid lyrically sometimes:
"The flow is so butter, you can spread it on your toast, when i send this out to Los, He Gon
say this shit is banging, the devil play me close and ima hang him like a painting"

Big Boi Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors | 3.5 |
Immortal Technique I Am Immortal | 4.0 |
The Game Jesus Piece | 3.0 |
Probably a rushed album since this was the shortest time between any of his albums. Not all
terrible but it does include the stupidest songs he has ever made like Cant Get Right. One
album after supposedly "REDedicating" himself to Hip Hop making an album with a mess of
popstar features like this makes no sense. |
Binary Star Masters of the Universe | 4.0 |
Sampling KRS-ONE on your only CD + dissing him on another track for making one song with
Puff Daddy? The reason the cage bird sings is cus it's butthurt. |
Immortal Technique The 1st Passage | 3.0 |
Scienz of Life Diggin in the Archives | 3.5 |
A lot of classic songs (about 8 ish) on here but its hit or miss as a whole CD cus the more boring tracks make it drag on. Still among the best lyricism I have ever heard, the problem on some of the tracks is just a dull production, but when these guys get a good production... holy shit! Most underrated group ever, hands down. |
Scienz of Life The Blaxploitation Sessions | 4.5 |
Probably will be a 5 soon... can't believe this is so unknown. |
KRS-One The BDP Album | 4.0 |
KRS-One Adventures In Emceein | 4.5 |
KRS-One Hip Hop Lives [With Marley Marl] | 2.5 |
Not actually average, but as close to average as a KRS-ONE CD ever gets and his worst CD in my opinion. "Hip Hop Lives" and "The Victory" are both excellent though. |
KRS-One Prophets Vs. Profits | 4.5 |
KRS-One Life | 4.5 |
KRS-One Keep Right | 5.0 |
KRS-One Kristyles | 4.0 |
KRS-ONE's third best album hitherto behind the classics "KRS-ONE" and "Return of the Boom
Bap". Some songs on here reach, even pass the best songs on those classic albums
(Philosophical or Things Will Change) but this is not as consistent throughout because no
one on here comes close to reproduction DJ Premier's multiple productions on those 2 classic
albums. |
Immortal Technique The Silenced Revolution | 3.0 |
Caught in a Hustle, Hok Remix and The Rebel are the only songs that compare to the best tracks on his other CD?s. rAbout half the CD is battle raps, remixes with old verses and freestyles. I.T. shows he is more skilled off the top of his head than virtually any mainstream rapper, but most of the tracks are worth hearing only once. |
Brother Ali Shadows On The Sun | 4.0 |
Eligh Grey Crow | 5.0 |
This grew on me like nothing else. I can't find a serious flaw in this album, the hooks
actually really help a lot of these song's mood. Hopefully it doesn't get old/overplayed
now. |
KRS-One Spiritual Minded | 4.0 |
"Gospel rap. never wack."rThe best I have ever seen out of 'Christian rap', probably because it isn't actually Christian but takes the parts of Christianity that make sense and applies them to the real world without hypocrisy. Mind blowing at many points, but not as good as his last album unless you open your mind to a drastically different style of rap. Regardless, its close to, but not quite as good as his first (Return of the Boom Bap) or second album. rI might sound absurd to you, but has it occurred to you that ill still lyrically murder you?r |
KRS-One The Sneak Attack | 4.0 |
On the song Hip-Hop Knowledge KRS cleverly explains his last albums mediocrity and countless other criticisms directed towards him during the last 4 years of no KRS albums. rThis is Way better than his 3rd album (I Got Next), but not quite as good as his first 2. This was clearly a pivotal album to his career and he takes his first huge steps in a comeback from last album, the only problem is now his productions aren't as catchy as they were in mainstream, however they fit his music and grow better. |
KRS-One I Got Next | 3.0 |
Probably the worst KRS-ONE album hitherto but it still has some classic tracks (The MC, A Friend, Blow) but not very enjoyable as an entire CD, especially since after this album he became arguably the rawest emcee of all time and before this its hard to find a non-classic album from him. |
KRS-One Meta-Historical | 4.5 |
tons of skits but whatever they all have a point and these tracks are insane |
KRS-One Godsville | 5.0 |
lyrically you should be hearin me more |
Killer Mike R.A.P. Music | 4.5 |
DMX The Great Depression | 4.0 |
Much better than I thought at first.
17 Tracks including skitsr
9 are excellent to classic songs.
This is a way more spiritual and poetic DMX than his earlier albums. It's worth listening to
every track, except "i'm a bang", which is the definition of a filler song. |
