err i dunno... lyrics are terrible, I do admit toms writing has gotten better but not by much, the drumming is
not creative. The production makes the heaviness cheesy rather than HEAVY and there sound as a whole is
kind of bland. Also he used to come up with better melodies, even on itue.. and his voice still sucks. Maybe
some good shit will happen on the next album? I doubt it. bbuuuuut there is a progression i'll give it that. |

"Because of the attitude of a few mental dinosaurs intent on exploiting our initial success, Brian's huge talent
has never been fully appreciated in America and the potential of the group has been stifled.... If the Beatles
had suffered this kind of misrepresentation, they would have never got past singing 'Please Please Me' and 'I
Wanna Hold Your Hand' and leaping around in Beatle suits."

If only this had been finished and released in 1967, if only if only.

at first I was like meh, but it grew on me. Really nice old person easy listening record |
Frank Ocean channel ORANGE | 3.0 |
Hmmmm well i was really amped for this. The mixtape was awesome and pyramids is epic. Yet i was
disappointed, some songs were just boring and lacked what nostalgia had. Nostalgia felt so natural. Its very
similar to what tyler did with his second record, he tried too hard and as a result it sounded forced and just
awkward. I felt like the production was kind of lacking as well and the instrumentals were kind
of amateur and forgettable (pilot jones, crack rock, sierra lionne). On monks it sounds like some 16 year olds
are jamming to some funky shit. The song Pink matter is brilliant like damn.. But even there i feel him and
andre and the producer held back and should have arranged it to be more climatic and just more dramatic. I
mean if they were listening to purple rain while writing it then it would have been a fucking masterpiece. It
still is a great fucking song though. Lyrically same thing, some songs sound forced and not fluid for
example, on bad religion, the lyrics are just lame to me. Trying to be clever alluding to the jonestown
massacre. Yet it doesn't feel as natural as strawberry swing, or there will be tears. Those songs grabbed me
by the balls and by balls i mean my heart. Too much hype for this album with a few great songs, he has time
to grow, lets just hope pitchforks rating of 9.5 doesnt get to his head. |

Bon Iver Bon Iver, Bon Iver | 4.0 |
Not a classic but still really enjoyable. I surprisingly keep coming back to it and it doesn't get stale like I thought it would. I do feel like the closer doesn't fit in with rest of the album though. It is a great song but I feel like there needed to be a more gradual change. When the song comes in, the keys kind of kick you in the ass (in a soothing way) and there should of been be a bit of build up to such a change. There's a colour to the whole album, I dunno, like crystally dark blue, and the last song is like a mix of that with yellow. Also, the drummers good, but some of the arrangements, especially on perth are damn annoying. Stop trying to be complicated like american football!, I mean the guitars and the ambiance do american football justice but this is not a math record. Keep it simple unless you really know how to make that shit flow. Shouts out to Steve Lamos and Lil B. |

Maps and Atlases Beware and Be Grateful | 3.0 |
It's weird to me that people didn't like perch patchwork because I loved it. They put all there strengths into rone album. Poppiness (but not too poppy) and math, and they did it really well. Beware and be grateful rthough, seems to have went too far with the pop. They are not a naturally poppy band and it doesn't really fit rthem to sound like kings of leon. That being said, it's a good effort but i expected more. |
Kimbra Vows | 3.5 |
I'm in Love. Kimbra is so damn awesome, she's got so much passion, colour, and vibrance to her voice. She is
definitely one to look out for. She is just what music needed, finally a singer who is doing something with her
damn voice. Someone with personality. It's been a while since one of her nature has sprouted from the
ground. It's awesome to witness. As for the album, it has it's gems and it has it's iffy moments. But fear not,
this is just the beginning and from here on she will grow and grow and gggrrrrooooooooooooooooowwwww |

This album is spaghetti almost too well done. Fucking nerdy over achievers. So much damn effort put into an
album. Can thom yorke do a vocal solo that of the likes of jeff buckley or such and such. Hell No. Can that
other dude play with such human emotion and improvise with such power as prince. Hell No. And the other
guys blah badeee blah blah blah blah gg allin blah blah. Hell No. Fuck this band. But they're awesome and
this record is awesome. |

Swans Filth | 3.0 |
The most brutal album I've ever heard, It's like the sound equivalent to getting raped, whipped, and tortured in a dungeon. Fucking Beautiful. The instrumentation is really interesting too. Especially the drums. There are a lot of original drum patterns and it's pretty catchy overall in a fucked up kind of way. One downside though, is that I can't handle it for too long. I only spin this when I'm really in the mood for something really intense. Also, this is the only swans album I've heard all the way through and I've read that their next few albums are just as, or even more brutal than this. Yay! |

Gang Starr Hard to Earn | 3.5 |
Deftones Diamond Eyes | 2.0 |
I don't really understand the appeal of this album. I like Deftones but if anything this is the closest they've ever got to sounding like nu metal. Why does the squeaky clean production and the boring and repetitive songs get so much praise. The only song I really like on the album is rocket skates and not because its the heaviest on the album. I actually really like chill and catchy music if done right, but I just can't spin this the whole way through. No disrespect to Deftones or anyone who really digs the album but I'm just not feeling it. |

This album is absolute garbage. I will never be able listen to tfot the same way again. Thomas Erak's way of changing his sound was making the lamest and cheesiest album ever really? is this guy serious? With the exception of the first two songs and dirty pillow talk this whole album is infested with non stop cringe worthy moments. Look, I'm all for change, thats what keeps me interested. But if this is what you come up with after some really great material, I can't help but question your musical capabilities. Maps and Atlases and Tera Melos changed there sound and did it really well. The Fall of Troy, unfortunately did not. |
