Whether Black Metal or not, this album is in my top-3 of all time best albums. The intro gives me goosebumps, Cthulhu Dawn is completely brilliant, Saffrons Curse too. Than we have the almighty Death Magik for Adepts. After that I can go further like this up untill the very end. That ending of this album mades it all completely brilliant. All heil to CoF and MIDIAN (especially Tortured Soul Asylum... Whraaaagggh!)

This album awoke my intrest in metal. I first heard the title track ''Mother Earth'' and I was completely blown away. That song overwhelmed me, and I thought: ''Why not try downloading a few tracks?''. So I strated and after ME came IceQueen, Deceiver of Fools and of course The Promise. I will always be thankfull to the guys and lady of Within Temptation for showing me the very best genre that modern music has to offer: METAL.
