A Solid first Record, Roadrunner Studios have found something big here. From the 11 Tracks highlights include: Falling Forever, Lethean, Hours, Images. Technical, Melodic, Brutal with a touch of class. Its a definite reccomend to metalers of most genres. Pushing the boundaries of metal not out, but up.

Great rhythm sections. And very contrasting vocal parts from mid-range clean vocals to deeper growls. May lack guitar-based melody lines but make for it with smart groove rhythms.

Whether or not people choose to like this album is irrelevant to the point of releasing a solid album.FFDP are now being considered as "true metal". And are now gaining a solid fan-base, i reccomend this album to people from all different genres of metal.

Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine2.5
Rage Against The Machine's album consists of the same generic RATM sound the bass lines are awesome. But eh The vocals are just annoying and the guitar is not too special. Ill admit "bombtrack" and "Take the power back" is the albums ups other than that the album is pretty average.

System of a Down Lonely Day2.5
Classic System of a Down EP. It is my opinion that there should have been less covers and more originals. However the use of expressive techniques in "Snowblind" and "Metro" give this EP a higher appeal to musicians and SOAD fans Everywhere. This EP looks more like a money maker than anything else.
Flyleaf Flyleaf2.5
Serj Tankian Elect the Dead2.0
Serj's "Elect The Dead" is hard to catorgorise a specific genre, although you can see the System Of A Down influence to the album. I wouldn't suggest buying it , I found it a One Time Listen.
Everybody looks Forward to hearing Serj Tankian's Vocals but the rest of the music brings its standard right down. You might as well be listening to the Highly political and influential SOAD.

Trivium Ascendancy2.5
Trivium's "Ascendancy" is the basic commercially sold generic metal. Same Basic Riffs that draw the same crowds to gigs.Same Vocals that make them generic and the guitar solos that draw other guitarists towards them. It is hard to compare these guys to the title of "the New Metallica" they have potential but their just hard to be seen going that way.

Three Days Grace One-X3.0
Three Days Grace's "one X" is definitely the same generic rock-grunge peice with basic riffs, melody lines and the vocals are developed off the same basic theme(dark, emo whatever you want to call it). However its not a complete waste of listening time with the interesting effects and harmony between the acoustic guitars and the vocals.Simple but it works.

Lamb of God Show an interesting array of techniques used by the vocals, guitar and drum lines. This album is a move in the right direction, but the still have a far way to go. The technique used by Chris Adler are extreme... If your learning how to play drums check this guy out!

LoG has developed both lyrically and musically. This album shows a hightened sense of catchiness, incorporating hook lines into songs particulary "Now You've Got Something To Die For" and the production of this album are better. I reccomend this to mettalers looking for a brutal and dirty sound.

All I can Say Is what technique if anybody can match the guitar hitting goddess GABRIELA I'll want to shake their hands, that is an interesting method of rhythm guitar. While Rodrigo's melody lines seem to be rapid and highly technical they are not his melody lines are made off simple chord and arpeggio patterns that work perfectly with the other peices.Recomended tracks include the Led Zeppelin cover of
"Stairway To Heaven",and also "Tamacun","Diablo Rojo",
"Juan Loco". This album is a must hear for for guitarists or those who just find this style interesting.
