Reminds me of the National, I'm loving it so far.

2010
Sharks Show of Hands3.5
Against Me! White Crosses4.0
I actually really liked this. Sure it's not that 'punk' but it sounds like a much better version of Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown

2009
The Hold Steady A Positive Rage4.0
A really great live album. The production can occasionally be slightly poor but in my opinion this just helps it to have a raw, live feel instead of just being flawless runs through the songs. Craig Finn's stage banter at the start of Killer Parties is worth the price alone.
U2 No Line on the Horizon3.5

2008
Glasvegas Glasvegas3.5
Come on !!! Yeah the guy has a Glaswegian accent but nobody ever lays into the Sex Pistols for Johnny Rotten sounding cockney as hell. This album is full of well written catchy, emotional rock songs and it's great to hear an indie band not influenced by the Libertines and Strokes for once (although I love both those bands). The only letdown is the track stabbed which is so miserable it sounds like it's taking the piss. Apart from that you get the singalong anthems such as Flowers and Football Tops and Go Square Go and also the weirdly brilliant Ice Cream Van which is basically the singer over a emotive rising ambient keyboard . One of my albums of the year
The Gaslight Anthem The '59 Sound5.0
2007
Radiohead In Rainbows5.0
Pretty much the best album by anyone this century. Sheer genius !
The Gaslight Anthem Sink or Swim4.0
Manic Street Preachers Send Away The Tigers4.0
Awesome album. I have had Imperial Bodybags stuck in my head for days now

2002
Bruce Springsteen The Rising4.5
This is easily one of Bruce's best albums (after Born To Run and Nebraska). Every single song is a classic from the lightweight Waiting On A Sunny Day to the intense Paradise (which tells the story of a young suicide bomber).

1989
The Cure Disintegration4.0

1987
Bruce Springsteen Tunnel of Love3.5

1986
