I would have actually liked this album a lot more if they didn't try to mix metal into it. The space rock (or whatever it's called) is actually really cool. But the metal riffs are boring and don't add anything. I assume they were trying to add some harsh elements to contrast with the beauty of the rest of the album but the chugging riffs are rather tame so it doesn't work |

Thy Art Is Murder Holy War | 2.0 |
This used melody more than I would have expected but I don't think it was that well done. It also over uses breakdowns, which is even worse because there isn't much low end making them both boring and lifeless |

Not a fan of noise rock for the most part so this is really disappointing to me after their last album. |

This is ADHD in musical form. I don't think I could make something more annoying than this |
Midnight Odyssey Shards of Silver Fade | 3.0 |
Howls of Ebb The Marrow Veil | 4.5 |
Howls of Ebb have done it again. The sound is so alien haunting and weird, it's amazing |
Sunset In The 12th House Mozaic | 3.5 |
Sun Kil Moon Universal Themes | 2.5 |
I thought I might give this a try because of the folk tag but I really don't care for this. I really should just learn to stay away from indie stuff |

I really fun combination of punk and death metal. If that sounds even remotely interesting to you you have to check this out |
Concatenation Empty State Of Humanity | 3.5 |
Cernunnous Cernunnous | 3.0 |
A nice throw back to the second wave of black metal. The music is rather well done but there isn't really anything here that other, better, bands haven't done before |
Unhappy Our Grand Despair | 3.0 |
Some cool riffs, melodies, and atmosphere but some of the riffs aren't that great and some good riffs are played for to long. First track is killer and the rest of the album never really hits the heights the first track hits |
Periphery Juggernaut: Alpha / Omega | 2.5 |
Turbowolf Two Hands | 3.0 |

Really well done, if not entirely original, atmospheric black metal |

Acylum Pest | 3.5 |
Senyawa Menjadi | 2.5 |
this wasn't particularly good but at least it entertained me for it's duration |
Three Days Grace Human | 2.5 |
Maybe it's because I don't listen to that much hard rock, but I don't hate this like a lot of you do. Yes I think its boring, uninspired, and even lazy. But I think it's mediocre not bad |

Enslaved In Times | 4.5 |
Once again Enslaved have out done themselves. It's amazing how they can use so many diverse sounds and yet they always have a signature sound to their music. |
Leviathan Scar Sighted | 4.0 |
The whole album is twisted and uses ambience and dynamics to great effect |
Elder (USA-MA) Lore | 2.5 |
There's actually a lot of really cool riffs here, but all the songs are too long. I don't think that they are interesting enough to listen to for 10 minutes |

Endlesshade Wolf Will Swallow The Sun | 4.0 |
Ethereal Shroud They Became the Falling Ash | 4.0 |
Woudloper Woudloper | 4.0 |
Black metal riffage played at doom metal tempos creates a bleak, oppressive, atmosphere on this self-titled demo |

Life Cried if i don't wake up | 4.0 |

Acylum Zigeunerjunge | 3.0 |
Zigeunerjunge is actually a cool song but we really don't need four versions of it |
Rabbit Junk Invasion | 4.0 |
Periphery Juggernaut: Omega | 3.0 |
Black Sheep Wall I'm Going to Kill Myself | 2.5 |
Periphery Juggernaut: Alpha | 3.0 |
nothing really blew me away while listening to this but I enjoyed it for the most part. The one thing this release does a lot better then the first two albums is it's not an hour and some odd minutes long, I really don't want to listen to this kind of music for that long. Splitting the album up makes this much more enjoyable |

What really makes a lot of Blut Aus Nord's music so good is the off kilter and weird riffs they put together. Once again they make not only an interesting album, but a captivatingly weird one. |

This feels like a series of songs that don't have a common theme or style, because it is. Some of the songs are great, others don't work. In particular the first few songs that have harsh elements don't make sense in this style of folk. All in all the album is hit or miss, but the hits hit hard |
Backworld Holy Fire | 3.0 |
I'm not sure why but this album largely fails at creating the soothing atmosphere of their later albums, it has some good moments though |
