All That Remains ...For We Are Many3.0
An overabundance of dull clean vocals burden this album. The heavier tracks on here like the title track and "Dead Wrong" still slap though.
All That Remains A War You Cannot Win2.0
The unnecessarily autotuned clean vocals make the album sound dishonest. Overall, a really boring album. Songs like "Stand up" sound tired and uninspired, and is quite unfortunate, considering this band has clearly showcased before that they can make heavy and intense music.

Behemoth The Satanist4.5
Behemoth puts out their most diverse album to date. The album is very well-paced, and each track sounds distinct, yet all of them share the dark tone that is portrayed through sinister melodic riffs and lyrics laden with religious imagery. Apart from the musicanship, this album has some of the most fitting production that I have heard in a while. The bass cuts through the mix to the point where it is as audible as the guitars, which is quite refreshing in the modern age of shitty metal bass production. In addition, the drums sound bombastic, and the way that they are mixed complements Inferno's rapid, precise, and performance. AOTY so far, could bump up to a 5

Bring Me the Horizon Sempiternal4.5
What makes this album so great is that it builds upon the momentum of There Is A Hell. The large atmospheric and electronic vibe, as well as the addition of a fairly large amount of clean vocals (all done by Sykes himself for the first time) show the band finally finding their identity.

The introduction to a slightly simpler but more diverse Converge and, in addition, one with a guitar tone as gritty as Entombed.

okay I'm biased cause these guys are an incredible Pittsburgh band, and I went to school w/ their drummer Ryan for a hot minute, and he is legitimately one of the funniest and most talented dudes I've ever met. Would recommend this to literally anyone
