Not as fun as "Dude Ranch" "Enema of the State" or "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" but this album has something definitely unique about it. Blink has always had really fun albums to listen to with your friends and party with, but they never really "did it" for me. This one, however, really has it all. It has energy (Go), fun songs (Feeling This), cathartic songs (I Miss You, I'm Lost Without You), good vocals (All of This), and straight up good songwriting (Asthenia). It's really a flawless masterpiece that marks a great end to age of Blink-182. Truly Wonderful.

Circle Takes the Square As the Roots Undo5.0
Fast, chaotic, and emotional, As the Roots Undo is probably the single greatest Emo record ever made. Ever track on here is not only solid, but some of the best music I have ever heard. As a whole, the album is extremely unified and swells, climaxes and concludes much like a great novel. If you haven't heard this (and who on Sputnik hasn't nowadays) I highly recommend it.

Travels is unrelentingly energetic, somber, heartbreaking, empowering, and beautiful. I can only really say that this album is encompassing. When I listen to Travels, I am unable to give it a past listen. It fully absorbs you, whether you like it or not. The moments that give you chills, the moments that make you want to scream, the moments that make you shudder all encompass you and make this album truly developed. Oftentimes I simply tell one to give this a proper listen and to not dismiss it as "background music" but with Travels it is near impossible to do such a thing. Even in the car this album can take you away from your responsibility as a driver when you realize the nature of "Everything Went Quiet." It's truly wonderful the way they assembled this, and the impact it has on the listener is astounding.
Defeater Empty Days and Sleepless Nights4.5
I feel as though the reason this album is so breathtakingly wonderful is not simply because it is a collection of great songs, (which, however, it is) but how it seems like two completely separate yet coherent albums. EMPTY DAYS takes the listener back to the likes of Travels, while SLEEPLESS NIGHTS shows a new side of Defeater, a much more melodic and soothing side. However, despite these two entities within the album, they are distinctly intertwined within the Defeater storyline. This makes for one hell of an album, and one hell of an entertaining listen.

Neutral Milk Hotel In the Aeroplane Over the Sea5.0
To try to describe my love for In the Aeroplane Over the Sea really won't do it justice. I may seem like I'm jumping on the bandwagon giving this a 5, but it really deserves no less. At its climaxes and mellow moments, it really hits you like no other album truly can. Mangum's voice is conventionally terrible, but it fits the music and lyrics so well that I would not trade it for even the most angelic of voices.

Opeth's magnum opus. This destroys Blackwater Park. It's really the perfect metal album. It has catchy riffs, poetic lyrics, a great voice, and one of the coolest concepts that I have ever heard of. The music is so embodying of the concepts behind this album. I mean, honestly what is more metal than a man exiled from his city for heresy, and only to go back to be persecuted even more? It deals with the struggles and anguish the character is feeling, and encompasses it nicely the way only Opeth can do.

If there was a rate above 5, this would be the only one I would put there, but since there isn't, a Classic rating will have to suffice.

It's very odd that I would give this a 5 as it isn't in the vein of what I usually adore, but if this isn't the catchiest thing I've ever heard in my life... I really like this, and even if it makes its way out of my 5 club eventually, I will always adore it.

If OK Computer didn't exist, I would be hard pressed to find an album as flawless as Boxer. Every note seems to be perfectly placed, and the entire feel of the album is wonderful, and yet unattached. But that's why you love it so much, because it isn't quick to accept you, and vice-versa. But once that connection is made, it is wonderful, in every sense of the word. Every note is flawless. Boxer is a masterpiece.

Though this album is often praised for being a wonderful concept album, at its core it is really just a collection of wonderful songs. Though it clocks in at 80+ minutes, it never seems to drag. There is essentially every aspect of The Who's greatness on this album, from the emotional outbursts of the final track, to the catchiness of "The Dirty Jobs" to the straight parody on "Bell Boy." It has a wonderful flow, where every song seems to be perfectly placed, adding to the overall feel of the album. A truly astonishing record that has stood the test of time. Only Love can bring the rain. A true classic.

I'm 5ing this. I really can't find anything even average with this album. The more I listen to it, the more I love it. My favorite from 2010 by a long shot. Very unique sound on here too, and every track is solid. Whether it be a tale of hopelessness, happiness, drunkenness, or plain stupidity, The Monitor is undeniably a wonderful piece of music. Its greatness lies partly in its subtleties, and partly in the overt music. At a first glance, it is a wonderful record. Upon further listening, it reveals itself as an astonishingly beautiful piece of music. Flawless. Flawless. Flawless. Flawless. Flaw-Less. Get it as soon as you can.
